Hello,
My surgery date is 1-3-17. I have been doing a lot of research and I think we are going to do fine! I can keep you posted about my experience, since I'm going just a few days before you, if you'd like.

Dr Hernandez did my surgery 11/9/16. I have had zero complications.
I'll be happy to share any information you would like. I am 7 weeks post op tomorrow and it's already made such a huge difference.
I am down 37 pounds post surgery and 26 pre surgery.
I am down 2 pants sizes. It feels great. Everyone is starting to ask me what I'm doing. I chose not to share my journey with most people, so I just say I am eating small amounts, trying to get my protein and keeping my carbs low. It's the truth, so I don't mind saying it.
I can still only eat 2 - 3 tablespoons of food. Do not try to drink and eat at the same time. Your stomach does not have room and you will throw up.
You will also throw up if you eat 4 tablespoons and your stomach can only handle 3. I have kind of gotten used to throwing up. The good part is, once the food is out, you feel fine.
I guess it's your body's blow off stack.
There will also be foods that are hard to digest. This is personal, so you will have to experiment. Most people can do mashed potatos, cream of wheat, cottage cheese, but only your stomach can tell you.
how did the surgery go? was the pictures as it looked in the information sent out to patients?
that would be great! I hope all goes well and you have a speedy recovery!
