New to this

Hello

I had my sleeve procedure on last Tuesday, April 26th. I did this to get help with getting healthy because my weight was getting out of control and I tried everything to get it down. I am very satisfied with the my choice to have this surgery. Since last week I have lost 8lbs that i know of. I didnt have an appetite at first but now that i am wanting food I am tired of broth. I have been craving a scrambled egg. I have not gave in but I do want it. I am determined to get this weight down so I joined this site to be around others that maybe going through the same thing as i am. Hopefully I can get the support i need from like minds!

Hi ! My surgery is scheduled for June 7th. I'm nervous and excited. I was wondering what my appetite would be like after because I eat now and don't even have to be hungry. I doubt want to fail with this

For me I didn't have an appetite for the first week, now I have a slight appetite. Then when I eat it's not much. Just stay hydrated is what my doctor said. Good luck and congrats on your date

Hi there! I'm new to this too. My surgery was the same day as yours. I haven't stopped feeling hungry, and am not sure what full feels like. I'm right there with you about the broth...ugh...so sick of it too! How long does your doctor recommend liquids?

He told me two weeks but i can add more creamy foods now. I get nauseous when im full or a pain when im full.

Try weighing your intake so you don't get the full feeling
Especially once you start eating soft/pureed/solid foods. I bought a $6 food scale on ebay and always weighed my food out to avoid eating too much or too little.

I'm not sleeved yet and I get pain and nausea when I need to eat! I'm hoping to not having that pain/nausea as much.....

You've come to the right place for suggestions from veterans who have lots of experience to share. Their knowledge is invaluable!
Hydration is so important! 64 oz minimum per day!
4.5 months out, I weigh all my food and I'm still only eating 2 oz (3-5 bites) of protein at a meal. Any more and I'm vomiting... UGH! I've gotten creative, nutritionally, by adding unflavored protein powder to everything so I'm getting enough.
