    Question I've messed up

Help me anyone, I've completely stop losing weight. I have not a lb in 5 months. I've tried different jump start detox diet and still nothing. I'm getting discouraged at this point. I still have almost 100 lbs to go in order to reach my goal. I will admit I have been eating a lot of wrong foods. Lost my father and I have been stress eating. I know better now I need to get back on track. And is it possible to stretch out my stomach with the sleeve?

I am also slow at loosing being years out. the only thing you can do is low carb it. Meat and veggies for a while and eat every 3 hours and workout. that's what I am doing and it is working.

I am four years out, and I feel i stretched my stomach, I eat about 4 to 6 ounces of food, and still feel hungry quickly after eating.

Hang in there! It seems you have diagnosed yourself. The key words that you uttered were "i'm eating all the wrong foods." Start there and move some more. Hopefully that will get you started again. I'm only a little over 10 months into this journey and i've slowed tremendously so reading posts from the vets helps alot.

    Hey there,
I am with you I have not lost much at all since my surgery and I have stretched my stomach again so I have started on this reset pouch diet and I am nearly over day two and feeling good so here it is if you want to give it a try..
    Good luck

    POUCH RESET

    HOW DOES IT WORK?
The pouch reset mimics your immediate post-surgery diet. A normal post gastric bypass diet typically has four to five stages and lasts 8 to 10 weeks. The pouch reset uses similar guidelines but lasts only 8 to 10 days. Remember, you are severely restricting your food intake so it’s suggested that you do this with the help of your bariatric surgeon and/or dietitian.
Angie’s pouch reset had the stages below:

    Day 1
    • Clear liquids only.
    • Water
    • Broth
    • Jell-O (sugar free)
    • Decaf tea
    • Decaf coffee
    • Sugar free Popsicles
    • Sugar free drinks that are not carbonated.

    Day 2 and 3
    • Full liquids.
    • Protein powder mixed with a sugar free non-carbonated clear liquid.
    • Sugar free pudding.
    • Soup with soft noodles.
    • Non-fat yogurt
    • Carnation instant breakfast. Sugar free option.
    • Very thin creamed soups. No chunks.
    • Sugar free sorbet.
    • Very water hot oatmeal. Check the sugar content.
    • Diluted no-sugar added juice.
    • Sugar free, nonfat ice cream.
    • Thinned applesauce.
    • Remember the goal is to not eat or drink anything that is going to stretch your stomach. So drink or eat these in very small amounts and limit your intake to very thin/liquid consistency foods.

    Day 4 to 6
    • Pureed foods.
    • Almond milk or coconut milk makes a great protein shake.
    • Hummus
    • Cottage cheese (low fat)
    • Soft cereals – Let your cereal sit in the non-fat milk until it’s soft.
    • Soups – no chunks
    • Scrambled eggs – these are a great source of protein.
    • If you can puree the food, it’s acceptable as long as it’s healthy and easy to digest.
    • It’s best to stay away from meat at this point.
    • Again, you are trying to reduce the size of your stomach so no solid foods at this point.

    Day 7 to 9
    • Soft foods.
    • Soft cereals – Let your cereal sit in the non-fat milk until it’s soft.
    • Soft vegetables – steam or boil them until they are soft.
    • Soft cheeses – limit these, they are typically high in fat.
    • Ground chicken or beef. Add some beef or chicken stock to keep the meat soft.
    • Soups
    • Scrambled eggs – these are a great source of protein.
    • Soft (steamed) fish. Remember to chew well.
    • Canned tuna and salmon (you can add low fat mayo). Great source of protein.
    • Mashed fruit. Bananas, avocados, and canned fruit (watch sugar content).

    Day 10 and Beyond
    • Healthy foods.
    • Introduce these foods slowly and in healthy portions. The size of your fist should be the size of an entire meal.
    • Typically, a post bariatric surgery diet will focus on protein and vegetables but always consult with your surgeon.
    • Drink liquids at least 30 minutes prior to eating and 30 minutes after eating.
    • Eat slowly. Allow at least 30 minutes per meal. Chew well.
Fruits are typically OK in moderation. Stay away from sugar and nutrient lacking carbohydrates (pasta).

I would just go back to your original instructions of how we are to eat post-sleeve. It's easy to forget the rules when time goes by! You know, protein first, then veggies. Avoid most carbs and all sugar. Don't drink when you eat. Exercise. Take your vitamins. Just the basics! (I'm not a believer in that pouch test thingy.)

I know it's easy to get off-track. I ended up injuring my shoulder, and haven't exercised in almost 2 weeks because of the pain. Just teaching all day was enough work for me. But it's getting better, so I need to get back, baby steps.

Good luck, you can do it!

Try not to beat yourself up. Put your energy into getting on track instead! You can do this because it is important to you and your health. Go back to basics. Eat your protein (lean protein) and stay away from the trigger foods. Don't keep them in the house. You are worth it!
I don't want to believe that there are good and bad foods, because that leads to punishment and reward for eating or not eating them. Just know your limits and do what is best for your health!

Like others have said go back to your basics. Don't beat yourself up! I am over 2 years out and I still struggle. I did reach my goal, however have put on about 8 pounds. I need to go back to the basics, tracking what I eat and cutting or the carbs and sugar. Also I have been away from this site awhile. You can do it!
