Good morning ladies and gentlemen, I'm glad to announce my surgery is 5 days away. Do anyone have any other helpful tips on the liquid diet and also testimonials on what will help prepare for surgery. Thanks In Advance for all the replies.

Broth - I like beef the best, but I have Miso, chicken and vegetable. Herbal teas. sweetened. Constantly sip on something. The preop liquid period is tough, I know (especially since I cannot STAND jello and will not eat it), but in just a few days - no hunger.
Just make sure that you're getting in all of your protein, it helps with feeling satiated. The liquid diet is difficult, but important. I'd personally lay of the sweetened tea, unless it's with a sugar substitute. After your surgery your doctor/nutritionist may require a sugar free period and cold turkey is rough! Did anyone tell you about Gasx strips to help with post surgery gas? They will help with gas along with waking. Wishing you much success with your upcoming surgery and recovery!
Good luck with your surgery. I think the better shape you are in before surgery, the better your recovery. I was sleeved last Tuesday, and feel fantastic! I did not have to do the pre-diet, but did do it 2 days before surgery. I have had zero gas pains, just got home Friday. Picked up my 3 dogs from kennel, walked them twice today and went grocery shopping. Better than bullion is fantastic! Flavors include ham and roast beef. I am
M enjoying popsicles and fudgesicles. I could go back to work tomorrow, but will wait until Tuesday. Best of luck, keep us posted on how you are doing.
