Upcoming surgery

I am scheduled for surgery on December 9, 2015 at Emory hospital bariactric center. Before going through classes for this surgery, I had a lap band removed. The band had started corroding. My question to this chat board is this...did anyone else have a failed lap band but experiencing success with the gastric sleeve?

Hello I personally never had the lap band. However, there are many on this forum that have had it and have done very well transitioning to the sleeve. I would advise you to use the search box to look for those that have had the same procedure that you've had. I'm sure that someone, far wiser than me, in this subject, will soon chime in. Hi there! I haven't had the lab band, but it's failed millions of people around the world. It wasn't a good wls invention unfortunately... A lot of people do great though switching from the band to the sleeve

I had a lap band and had it removed, similar issue. Had sleeve in 2012 and it has worked for me, i love how i reached goal and have maintained for 2.5 yrs and for me that is the goal.
I hope you have a similar experience. Follow your program and you will see. I reached goal at one year and kept losing until 15 lbs below my goal. Now i maintain.
