Welcome to the forum! Insurance companies can be a pain, but I can tell you that this was the best decision that I have ever made for myself. It will be worth the wait my dear. Best of luck!

I have blue cross and they will pay for lapband only . I had that done last summer, but I'm having the revision to sleeve done next month, self pay.

It seems like ins companies try to get away with denying surgery. Don't worry if it happens,that isn't the end if the journey. AETNA rejected my application without a reason to the coordinators tried to confirm that is met all the requirements -denies. Then the doc did a peer to peer call with the ins co - approved. It is too bad that their time was waisted but I think it is a game. My husband is pre-surgery and now AETNA says instead of a 6 mo diet his is 3. I think it is because his BMI is 7points higher than mine was and he has high blood pressure and cholesterol. I hope for him that it goes smoothly.
Just be patient and touch base with your coordinator.

I was denied by 2 different ones and gave the fight up and did self pay in Tijuana. Stay strong and do like me and cave. Stay strong in the end you will be happy. I love my sleeve, it has changed my life.
