It's been a while

Hi everyone- I haven't been here in a while. I'm trying to get back to normal (whatever that is) after my husband's death Feb. 24. I've not been great at eating right, but I keep catching myself and correcting, so I've been up and down the same 3 pounds for a month. I still want to lose more (today I was a good girl and ate correctly). Tracking is very important to me; it keeps me honest with myself. I have been going to the gym about every other day- sometimes I skip 2 days. I'm going to attach a couple of pictures- one is from last summer when my husband and I drove to TX (the pic is at Arches Nat'l Park). The other picture is me yesterday with my new quilting t-shirt. Here goes…

You have done a fantastic job! I am so sorry that your husband is not here with you, it's so very hard to keep positive and going on but your husband would want you to be happy. Keeping busy, doing new things and being with the people you love will hopefully get you through this very hard time. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Cindy, I am SO glad to see your post here! I've been thinking about you so much. Like you, I have no idea what "normal" at a time like this would or should be like. No idea at all. But going to the gym consistently like you're doing must be good for you in so many ways.

Thanks for posting your pix. They show how much weight you've lost, and you look wonderful!

I'm still getting used to my portions. I feel SO hungry at mealtimes and dish up slightly smaller than average amounts of food- more protein, of course- but then I get full waaayyyy before my plate is empty. I need to take less, darn it! But, I'm glad I can't eat it all!
