***I'm totally intimidated working in the free weight area! Can I use the machines that do things like squats, bench, row, triceps extensions, bicep curls etc?? I feel like the machines will help me with my form to start at first. ***
I use a smith machine for of the squats, bench, shrugs and deadlifts. "For the moment" because I goto a gym at a hotel and its machines or Smith machine ((barbell attached to the rack)) ((10 minute ride their too,All other full gyms are one hour to get their one hour back))
Don't be intimidated. Google STRONG LIFTS 5x5 or click link above, for more research.
The weight routine is designed to be used with free weights and theirs good reasons mentioned in the video.
That said theirs an app for android,,strong lifts 5x5,, and also other app stores have the app aswell.
Now I'm no expert and my unprofessional opinion. If they only way for you to get started is using machines ,Do it ,its better than nothing.
