Hey.. I never saw your post!! Yea dr Abkin too.. I go in edison to my appt. I always wanted to go but with 2 kids it was tough to meet when they did. How are you doing? I am thrilled. Best decision I ever made. I'm dien 60lb since surgery July 21.. Omg.. I live that I found someone w the same surgeon!!

Reena, I used Dr Sadek. I had my surgery 19 months ago. I've lost 109 lbs. I'm at 171 down from 280. I loved Dr Sadek. He is a warm, caring, talented surgeon. Good Luck to you.

Weight loss,I am doing this to get rid of my diabetes and blood pressure,I do know Dr Sadek because I work at Rwjuh and he took my lap band out in 2011
When I had complications originally my lapband was placed by someone else but I stopped going to him after two years because he stop listening to my complaints about me having issues with my band and eating any kind of solid food was making me throw up ,Finally I called Dr Sadek and asked him if he would except me as a patient and he was so good to me he ordered so many test to find out what was really wrong with me and finally after positive barium swallow radiologist told me that your band needs to come out as soon as you can have surgery otherwise you are at risk of rupturing your esophagus,I was so scared because I was suffering from this issue for months ,Anyway Dr Sadek took the band out within a week of my test and at that time I was so scared of complications that I told dr Sadek that I don't even want to think about another surgery I just want to feel normal again but here I am on the road fo Gastric sleeve surgery,I talk too much sorry

Hi everyone I am from Morris county I will be sleeved on 10/12/2015 I am extremely scared and very nervous
I know I have to do this to get somewhat healthy Im currentlly 330lbs and 6'1" my legs hurt cant sleep good have no energy.

I am really not scared about the surgery it what will happen after the fear of being nausus being able to get in the right liquids and of course the pain.
I guess I am just a big baby
I have a friend who had this done and he always says everything will be just fine I hate when he says that LOL

I was worried too as everyone is. But had no problems after surgery - got up a couple times and walked around in the hospital before I went home the next day. (overnite stay) Got some broth and tea down in the hospital too! Followed the guidelines I was given and everything went well.
