I know this subject has been mentioned umpteen times, but please tell me when my hair will stop falling out.
Thank you.
Mine fell out for months! I am now taking 10,000 mcg biotin, a bariatric multi-vitamin and as much protein as I can get down. I also began using a one-step product called "It's a 10" and was floored by the almost instantaneous results! I kid you not, it really works! My hair loss is very low now. You can get this at drugs stores, Target, etc.
Even before I decided on this surgery I have noticed my hair thinning at the front. I just bought biotin in all its forms and will hope this stops any further loss post op when I get there.
Barring that, I've been checking out some great wig sites. Anyone go the wig route or considering it?

I haven't had any hair loss. But my doc said if I started losing hair it's because I'm not getting in enough vitamins and protein
Mine started coming out at 3 months by the hand full and I'm at 6 months and it hasn't slowed down. I've been taking all my vitamins and biotin but it's still coming out. I had thick hair and now I look like I have the mange.....but oh well I'm down 60lbs and the hair will grow back.
I had pretty severe hair loss prior to surgery just due to bad genetics. I used Toppik or Nanogen fibers to cover up the bits of scalp (front/top) that showed through my hair. After surgery of course things got worse. I went with a bonded topper rather than a wig. I love my topper. I might look at wigs someday too but the topper really suits me now.
