I am so tired of being overweight. I have been all my life. One diet to the next! Loosing and gaining! I have decided to have sleeve surgery. I will have it on May 7th. I am 45 in 3 more days and I want to be healthy and enjoy my life. I am excited about my new journey!

You've come to the right place for support, information, suggestions and answers. You may want to order a book that I found from Amazon. The name is Weight Loss Surgery: The Real Skinny by Nick Nicholson. It should help you understand the best way to travel through this new world.

    Good Luck - Bonnie

Good for you. You sound like me. Diet, diet, diet. The never ending cycle of loosing and gaining. I am 6 months out and 7 lbs from goal. This new body with bones is taking some adjusting, but it does feel good. Congratulations for taking control and how fun, you are in onderland.

I'm from Whitefish MT and have submitted my questionnaire package, Dr. referral and medical records to Gastric Services in Missoula. I'm 65 and its the last year I can have the surgery and now that I've made the decision, I'm anxious to get the ball rolling. I'd really like this to happen before summer, but I realize it can take time. The educational seminar is Feb 27th. Then to get the final approval. They say my insurance covers it. I have been dieting all my life from grade school on. I've been successful several times but always put it back on. I've been watching videos, reading books, getting my head ready for this commitment. I want to be more active, hike, bike, kayak. Everytime I get serious about working out at the gym I hurt something. Now its my knee. I'm thinking positive though.
