    Default 2 weeks post op

Two weeks ago I was sleeved. I'm moving on to semi liquid diet. Had some cream of wheat this morning mixed with some Jay Robb protein powder. It was yummy. Lunch I had some Cream of Broccoli soup. I strained out the Solids and mixed in some plain protein powder . Yuck. I'll stick to the Cream of Wheat and try some Tomato Soup. I'm not having too much of a problem with liquids. Jay Robb shakes r the best ! Lots of water. Only issues I've had are sore left side and My energy level is very low. All in all best thing I've done for my health. Wish I had done this earlier.

I'm right there with you, Carl. It's a journey of discovery at the moment trying to figure out how to get the most protein in and balance everything out. My saviour is OJ and unflavoured protein powder. I'd be lost without it.
    Cheers,
    Bella.

I was sleeved on the 16th and it seems that those protein shakes are getting harder and harder to take, I have found some of the protein drinks actually go down easier and have even mixed crystal light with a vanilla protein shake so it wouldn't be so think and it was tasty. I have started the mushy food stage and recently purchased that Ninja chopper/blender thing and I am in love, it even chops beef into a fine ground beef and makes making chicken and tuna salad thinner and mushier so it tastes really good but is tolerable to my new stomach and stays down. Good luck and make it fun, I am having a ball.

I was sleeved on Dec 17th...so we are all in the same boat...I am having protein issues...I cant stand the taste of isopure and the shakes are making me have to go to the potty before I can even get it down....

Bella, by OJ, do you mean orange juice? I didn't know that we could have that....I assumed it was too much sugar? If so that is a thought!!

I have added unflavored protein powder to a couple things....But apparently my taste buds are incredible because I can taste it....And it has that isopure iiick flavor....

    I will figure this out!!

    Good luck to you all!!

Yup. I am constantly making sure I'm eating my protein first and keeping my fluids up to the max. My savior is the Jay Robb shakes. I make them with the unsweetened Almond milk. Also tried the isoprene and it was ok for a couple days but got to be too much. I'm a Vegetarian but it has not been an issue getting my protein. Can't wait to get my energy level back up and resume my workouts. Have a good week!
