Dissapointments with anything in particular - Gastric Sleeve Forum

If you love your Dr or not, was there any little thing that you thought could had been better? No limits here, and its basically for the Dr's as well to look into what is being said and improve patient care. I don't have to much to complain about, but I will chime in a little later. In the end I wanted to lose weight, but there are a couple of things that could had been better.

My surgeon was great, but kept trying to push me to use my PCA (push the button for powerful narcotic pain meds), which I knew would only make me sick, and I wasn't really in any big pain. Luckily he also gave me Ofirmev (IV tylenol) and after my post op upper GI, he gave me toradol. I never did need anything stronger, and by not using those narcotics, I minimized my post op nausea to the day of surgery only. DOn't be afraid to ask for non-narcotic pain meds if you get a lot of nausea after surgery.

Please feel free to join the group and put little things like this. I mean its not for bashing, not at all. Maybe a little constructive critisizm. Could be something they could work on to better there patient services.
