Just Crossed My Mind ..... Sexual Activity Question!

For some reason or another I began thinking about something ... When should, when could, and when is the best time to resume sexual activity? The reason I wonder is because as a mother of 3 who gave birth through C-sections all 3 times know that after those surgeries and actually most surgeries you should give your bod all the rest it can to recover! So0o that being said .. When should, when could, and when does one who has had the sleeve resume sexual activity?

each doctor post op recommendations are different!! I resumed all normal activities at discharge!!!

My doc told me at 6 weeks, others say as soon as you feel no discomfort. Because you brought it up, I am throwing this out there: birth control. I am terrified of jumping my hubby's bones because of the fear of pregnancy. Sounds dumb, I know....

I think you should wait until your tummy feels healed. I didn't ask my doctor and meant to, but figured that if I thought it would hurt, then I should wait. It is not like a C-section as your uterus is very low and "connected" which would be damaging. I feel like 2 weeks is good. It is personal though. I forgot to ask, have you started working already? If so, you must be exhausted! You need your sleep

Well I figures it wouldnt hurt to ask and I am in no rush too! I know exactlt what your feeling about jumping ur hubbys bones... anytime before the surgery I would constantly get nervous that the day of surgery they would tell me I couldnt get it because I was pregnant!! Now I will just keep my distance until I cam get the proper birth control which makes me wonder if the changes going on from surgery will ne altered by the hormones from birth control hmm def questions to bring up at next weeks appointment! And yes I went bsck to work monday! The only reason I had anytime off of work was because I was in the hospital for an unplanned extended stay!

oh my...glad I am not the only one who wonders about this. No chance of pregnancy for me but I wondered too when I could resume. At my two week follow up with my doctor he said I could resume all normal activity. My period has been very off since surgery and irregular. I am on seasonique 3 month pills for endometriosis and peri-menopause. So I only have a period 4 times a year. However, since the surgery I have been bleeding quite a bit or spotting. Last weekend my husband and I went camping and it was the first time in awhile that we had sex. I am 5 weeks out. It was enjoyable but after turning the lights on I saw blood everywhere. I had not been bleeding prior to having sex. There was a lot of blood but I had no bleeding after going to the bathroom and going to bed. No bleeding the next day. Sounds funny but it was almost as if I lost my virginity....weird, lol. So now I'm not sure if I should wait a little longer before resuming normal sexual activity again, lol.

Just be careful with hormones raging now you have a greater fertility chance.

It is not stupid at all, antibiotics lower the effectiveness of birth control pills. You are being a responsible adult, good for you
