Smile I'm sleeved!! sore, but happy!

I had my sleeve surgery on august 19th.. i got home yesterday and feel pretty good!! My tummy is sore, my shoulders and neck are sore from the hospital bed, so uncomfy!Surgery went well, no complications, i barely used any pain meds in hospital, the worst thing was and still is the gas pains in my upper chest. But those handy gas x strips everyone recommended work well!

Today i am starting my protein shakes.. im nervous about drinking them, but i gonna go slow and sip, sip , sip!

We're surgery sistas! I also had my surgery on the 19th and came home yesterday. Definitely a bit sore but feeling pretty good otherwise. I started my protein drink this morning, in a glass of ice chips and I'm sipping away! I see you're from central NY, whereabouts? I'm from Long Island.

Congratulations! You might try some of the non-milky protein products early on. Bottled Isopure is clear and Syntrax Nectar makes flavors that mix with water and were easier to get down early in the process.

Don't worry about hurting my feelings because I guarantee you not one bit of my self esteem is tied up in your acceptance.

I'm a Sleeve Sista, too. Had mine on the 19th. I was home the next day. I'm enjoying protein shakes, broth, jello, water, etc. I found a way to drink the shakes that works for me and one I like. I tried one with milk yesterday and I could not get it down so I am back to protein mixed with water. I've found if I heat it up - it tastes like hot chocolate!
