Okay, so I thought these were an absolutely horrendous idea to start with, but after finding out coffee is a no-go with my sleeve (stomach issues and no energy boost), I was wondering if anyone has tried these? They're gross, but I can swallow enough in one gulp to get one down. I'm just not sure how our bodies respond to them at this point.
Has anyone tried? What happened?

I'm pre-sleeve.
I heard the problem with caffeine, which I believe is in 5-hour energy, is that it dehydrates you. So, if you have trouble with hydration, caffeine will make it worse.

The five hour energy drinks have always made me feel jittery, even pre-sleeve. I now take ACE. Its appetite control energy. It gives me tons of energy and has really sped up my weight loss.
