Hello, Anyone out there had or having surgery done at Mission weight loss Asheville? In the process of getting surgery there. May have Surgery in October I hope.

A little story for you: When I had finally made up my mind that I was going to have weight loss surgery, I talked to my dearest friend about it. She works at Mission Hospital. I told her that I was thinking of having lap band surgery. She was very supportive of my decision to have weight loss surgery and she is the one who told me about the Gastric Sleeve. She told me that she had seen so many failures with the lap band, but she knew so many nurses and other workers at Mission who had been sleeved, and that they were very successful and happy with this surgery. My friend is brilliant, and extremely careful when it comes to things like surgery and hospitals. I knew that she had done research on it, and that if she suggested it to me, that was the way to go. If I was in Asheville ( you lucky duck!) I would have absolutely no reservations about going to this excellent hospital. I will be forever grateful to my friend for sharing this with me!

Thanks Patty, It does seem to be a good program. They are very thorough, they leave no stone unturned making sure you are fit for surgery. My Wife says, well, at least if there's anything wrong with you they'll find it before surgery. I'll just be so happy to get it done. I'm tired of giving myself insulin shots. I have friend that is diabetic that is legally blind now. I don't want to end up that way. Keep up your good work you're not far from the goal line.
