Good morning! Is anyone on cymbalta? If so, do you take your pill whole? I'm worried about crushing it since it is time released.
Thanks for helping!
Lovely
I take Cymbalta also... good question ! Another one to put on my list for Dr. Alvarez. My Synthroid is a tiny tablet, but the Cymbalta and Celebrex are fairly large capsules. Hopefully, when I lose the weight, I won't need pain meds or the antidepressant anymore.
Cymbalta is an anti-D, right?
I take a daily anti-D, Pristiq, and I take it whole. The only day I skipped was the day of the surgery. I was back on it the day after.
Hi-I've been taking Cymbalta for years before the surgery to treat fibromyalgia, generalized pain and depression. And yes, I've been taking the pill whole at the direction of my surgeon, Dr. Ortiz, since the day after surgery...no problem. But I have been fortunate because I experienced zero vomiting and very little nausea immediately after surgery. I HAVE had some episodes of vomiting since introducing food again.
At any rate, I was told 1) do not open up and dissolve a time-released capsule, 2) take a gel cap or coated capsule with enough water to get the capsule down without distress and stop.
Hope this helps.
