I love, love, LOVE water and am generally a very thirsty girl. I've never found it filling, unfortunately, or I really should already be slim with as much water as I drink. I just have a dry mouth and throat feeling if I go without water for too long and I was really kind of freaked out reading the number of sleevers who can't tolerate water, let alone enjoy it. My main concern was forcing myself not to drink as much or as quickly as I'm used to, but now to think that it might make me feel sick is really a huge bummer.
Are sugar-free hard candies like s/f Jolly Ranchers or s/f Lifesavers allowed in the hospital post-op to combat dry mouth? Knowing myself and based on other threads I've read on what to pack, I've ordered some Biotene Moisturizing Mouth Spray but I think that will only go so far.
As for when I get home, would it work to freeze Isopure Protein Juice Drinks (flavors like Blue Raspberry and Alpine Punch) into popsicles? This is what I'm envisioning doing for the first little while to re-train my brain and get used to the notion of slow and small sips. Would freezing negatively alter the protein the way they say overheating does?
I really, really hope I come out of this with my love affair with water intact. If not I suppose I'll adapt and learn to become an herbal tea lover!
