Default Stomachs must have something in them that keep you warm...

I am cold now so much of the time. I sleep with long sleeves and socks and 3 blankets.

I am cold during the day and have to dress warm all the time.

They cut my heater out and obviously that heater was located in the 2/3 part of my stomach that was cut out.

Anybody? Does it change? I'm at 4 weeks now.

5 1/2 months out here and am cold all the time. Of course I live in Minnesota, still 3 feet of snow everywhere. I sleep with an extra quilt now, in the house I wear sweats, tee shirt and socks and shoes all day. I also have cold fingers. I just figured I lost all of my insulation. I will take being chilly over obese any day of the week.

That happened to my husband and me!!! It's because your body is burning up everything....we were both freezing until about10 months post-op which is when you're weight loss usually stops or slows way down.
A lot of people say they have the same symptoms.

I went through the same thing right after surgery. Since it's been in the high 70's here that's kept me warm. Once the temp drops I get cold again. Today's a rainy day and once again I am cold.

I am 4 months post-op and I stay cold 99% of the time. Even my nose gets ice cold!! This is completely opposite from how I was before. I would wear shorts (in the house) during winter time. My friends are finding this quite amusing. It's reached the 70s here and I'm still cold. Apparently this is indeed a common thing.

I am always cold now too. I never use to wear socks to bed but now, I do. I still have flannel sheets on the bed too!

Okay wow, I am already cold all the time now. I go to sleep like an Eskimo most nights. I can only imagine what I will be like after I have my surgery. It is rather pretty funny at times, my family bought me a heated throw for the couch so I can cuddle up under that when I am the only one that is cold. I also have the Smurf disease, Raynards Phenomenon, which my extremities turn blue when to cold. I am just a hot mess or maybe a cold one.

I had hot flashes several times during the night and days. It is wonderful that they have stopped. I don't mind sleeping with my socks on again and being able to stay under my covers ALL night long. Before I was awake about every hour or more taking off and then pulling back on my blankies. I think it is a great relief now.

Love this! It is very true for me too! I have always run warm. Ceiling fan on in the winter above my bed, NOW I AM FREEZING ALL THE TIME! Ceiling fan has not been on, I am under 3 blankets and in warm pjs! During the day my nose and fingers are always chilly!

It can't be the fat insulation theory. I am seriously convinced that there is something in your stomach that helps regulate your body heat. Sometimes my feet will feel cold to me inside, but if I touch them, they are warm enough? Weird.
