After being in a 6 week stall......yes, SIX WEEKS!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!
It finally broke and I lost 3 more lbs!!!!!!!
I was beginning to think I was going to weigh 173 forever.
Right there with you surgery sister!!! 4-11-11
I don't know how long my stall was but it seemed like forever. I think I may be the only post op person that doesn't keep track of a thing.Don't get me wrong I weigh myself just about every other day if not daily... i just never kept a written track of it. Anyhow I kept hovering at 230/231 for WEEKS and then after house sitting for a week, without access to a scale, I had dropped 4 lbs. Then a couple more lbs these past few days. I think everyone can trace back their first major stall to when they started eating real food. I literally starved my first month so I lost alot and I really didn't have a big gray area til I started eating real food. I was so weak and had absolutely no energy... I ate anything good or bad ...
I started feeling normal the 3rd week of May (had a set back...whole other story).
The body kept everything I gave it since it hadn't seen food for what 5,6 weeks*... so now 5,6 weeks* later the body is easing up and letting some of the pounds go. Now I have to crack down and only give it the good stuff since I haven't been starving for weeks now
*** including that horrid week of the pre op diet
Congratulations on getting out of the stall mode. Hope it be a while before you get to the next stall in the road. Just keep up the good habits that got you going and do not be discoraged. I hate when this happens. Sometimes it is as little as drinking too much water, not drinking enough water, eating just a little too much salt, not enough salt.
GO FIGURE! Any way congrats. We are all in this thing together. WE ARE KICKING FATS' BUTT TO THE CURB!
I think we should outlaw scales! Just enjoy your new life, you've got all the time in the world to shed lbs!
