How fast did you go back to work after surgery?

An interesting thread, just what i was looking for. I was trying to book time off of work today but wasn't sure how much would be enough. I'm a cashier in a bookies so i think the week i have booked should be enough. I went back to work 4 days after my gall bladder removal and was fine so a week will be like a right holiday.

I was sleeved on Friday in TJ. Going back to work in the morning, three days post op. I feel great!

I went back to work 8 days after my surgery, but only got that long because of the July 4th holiday. I was out taking the dog for walks and doing grocery shopping 4 days after surgery and could have easily gone to work then. I sit at a desk all day, though. When I did go back to work on day 8 it did wonders for me, though. I felt so much better after a full day at work that I took my dog on two loops around the neighborhood when I got home.

I work 12 hour shifts as a 911 dispatcher. I sit at a desk. The only thing I do is lift a ball point pen and type. Hopefully I can go back to work after a week, since I do no physical activity.

I took 3 weeks off and going back this week has really worn me out. I feel fine most of the time but my stamina is not 100% and I get really tired in the late afternoon. Monday I was so tired, i came home and went to bed. I was told 2-3 weeks and was glad i waited 3 weeks to go back. I am also very glad that tomorrow is Friday.
