Default 6 weeks out, what are you all eating?

I will be 6 weeks out this Thursday and I'm curious as to what your all eating. Or tell me what you ate at the 6 week mark, I'd love to hear any suggestions.

Are you on regular foods? I just tested whatever a little at a time. I am two months out and still drink shakes, along with my solid food. I may have a shake or smoothie in the morning. If I try something and it doesn't sit well, I fall back on a shake or smoothie when I eat next. I eat every 2 hours. Eating may be food, shake or smoothie. I can eat pretty much anything. The important thing is to make smart food choices. Just because you can eat it, doesn't mean you should!

Hi again and again....you seem to answer a lot of questions, so here goes another one....HOW much do you eat every 2hrs and are you really hungry, like stomach growling? I thought that part of the stomach is removed so your brain doesn't detect if your hungry or not??? I'm still confused over the whole hunger issues. I'm going to the nuturtionist in two days, I'm sure she'll let me know. U sure are doing good on your weight loss, that's for sure.... I can't wait to weigh even 200lbs....I will be starting around 235....I would like to get down to 190 or so, that would be fine with me....thanks!

At six weeks I was allowed basically everything except white carbs( only whole grains and no rice) nuts, beef, caffeine and alcohol. Right at the six week mark I was allowed raw vegetables and whole grains. Salads have been awesome as I was really craving them, but I have barely been eating the whole grains because I don't want to fill up on carbs. I have noticed on here that a lot of people have been allowed to eat red meat but my doctor advised me not to because it is difficult to digest, especially steak. He said not to try it for six months. I feel like I may need to cheat because I'm so sick of chicken!

Hi Kim! I'm not to the stage of being able to eat meat yet, but have you ever tried to substitute turkey for red meat? I used ground turkey as a sub for hamburger, and while the texture is a bit different, it's still pretty tasty. You can also get turkey burgers, steaks, etc. It might take a little bit of time to get used to, but if you haven't tried it, it's worth a shot!

I've been meaning to try ground turkey for a long time. So far I've been eating a lot of MorningStar and Boca products which I love and always have liked because I was vegan for five years. My only complaint with them is that a lot don't contain as much protein as I'd like, so I'd definitely like to try the turkey! Thanks for the tip.

I'm not nearly at the meat or food stage, but I make this killer squash casserole with ground turkey. I get the high quality ground turkey too. Not the 85/15 either, the best one they make which is like 96% I think????? Anyways, I use yellow squash. I peel and and cut it up in little bite size pieces and sautee it with cut up vegetables along with some type of tomato product such as Rotel tomatoe, Diced tomatos, or similiar. When those things get to a cooked consistency I add it to my already cooked ground turkey mixture and put it in the oven and cover the top with italian bread crumbs. You could probably leave them off because it still taste delish! I bake approximately 30 minutes depending on how much I cook. Very tasty
