What I miss ...

My Mom was asking me this weekend if I missed certain foods and surprisingly the answer was no. I haven't been dying for anything, except beer and sonic Limeade! How weird is that?

I know that feeling. I play on a pool league and we play at mostly beer bars. I drink my water but there's times when I just want a beer.

the only thing I miss is being able to eat & drink @ the same time. sometimes you just wanna wash your meal down w/ a nice tall glass of something. (I won't lie, from time to time I can't resist taking a sip w/ my food. but the other 99% of the time I play by the 'no drinking w/ meals' rule.)

I so desperately want to try one of those new frozen strawberry lemonades from McDonald's, but @ the end of the day I know it's not worth it. (but a girl can still dream *lol* )

I know, I am actually embarrassed to say I want beer! Lol! It's not like I even drank that much beer to begin with, but it's what I want now!

I miss coffee ... I tried a cup the other day and it made me sick ... I told my surgeon yesterday that I'm holding him responsible if Dunkin Donuts has to file Chapter 13 because I'm no longer drinking coffee ....

I want a taco and a slice of pizza (not at the same time though). I could go for a nice tall glass for root beer. But other then that I am pretty good.

I was on another board where a young lady mentioned she craved sonic cherry limeade and she went there and got a sonic diet cherry limeade. If I remember correctly, it was 14 calories, 1 sugar, 2 carbs. But she said to make sure to ask for any drink as diet and have them make it with water versus soda

MissDiedre...I use to drink 3-4 cups of coffee every morning, but now I don't even crave it. I don't even care for the flavor anymore. I use to drink water with squeezed lemons and splender to help me clean out my kidneys, and my sleeve hates the acidic taste! My taste buds have changed! Will it ever change? Does anyone else know?

Same goes for me. Nothing tastes the same. Coffee makes me say...Yuck!! I drank coffee all day long before my surgery. Everything has a different taste.

I miss eating period. But hey that's why we did this right!!!

I agree Lori. Eating isn't as much fun any more. I get full fast and feel discomfort in my middle when I eat a tablespoon too much. That's what I needed to stay on track. The rest of the day I tend to stay on soft foods. LOL...Bonnie
