    Default Wow!! What's going on?

Tried to go Christmas shopping tonight, started sweating before I even stepped into the mall. By the time I got threw the first store I was shaking and sweating so bad. I was sipping on water, just wanted to faint. So I didn't get much of anything bought. I'm now back home in bed, still shaking and sweating and my head is all fuzzy. Think I'm just gonna go to sleep.

It sounds like you need protein! When you leave your house, ALWAYS carry with you bottled water and protein powder in a zip lock bag so in case of urgency like that...you can put your protein powder in your water bottle, shake it up and drink it! You will be able to carry it around, sip, and shop feeling great. Hope that helps!

Sounds to me like you were having a low sugar attack..... it's common after bariatric surgery.

You don't want to take sugar unless you're on insulin. Protein shake does have sugar in it; however it will keep your sugar levels even and last longer. Peanuts are protein; however some may not be able to tolerate it. Protein in water is liquid and will have a rapid response.

Let us know what doctor says.

Something similar happened to me, I was about 3 weeks out and thankfully at home. I was sitting at the edge of the bed and suddenly I felt very clammy, light headed and I got the dry heaves. I called the bariatric nurse and she thought it was a low blood sugar thing as well (and it was first thing in the morning). Hasn't happened since but definitely not a good feeling.

The doctor says I have a virus, along with ulcers in my throat and esophagus. I get to take Tylenol and gargle with a lidocaine solution. But I also have major anxiety/panic attacks, so this doesn't help.
