Any time is better than nothing.
Keep it at a level that is sustainable each day without "killing" yourself.
I prefer smaller but intense periods i.e. 15 mins x2 a day with incline and speed intervals.
    God luck!!!

That is great to start. As it easier (and it will) increase speed or time by small amounts. Challenge yourself but don't over do it. Soon you should be able to start doing some strength training 2 or 3 days a week. This help prevent muscle loss and maybe even build some depending on the amount of exercise you do. I do all my cardio and strength training in the pool because of old worn out arthritic joints.

I started working out two weeks ago. I love the treadmill and the recumbent bike, but hate the stair machine! I started off for a total of 30 minutes and am up to 45 minutes for all of them! It does get easier the more that you do it!

If you're new to exercising be sure to listen to your body but keep challenging yourself. Treadmills are great for circuit type training where you go from light walking increasing the intensity to your maximum and then back to walking. Especially if time is tight. Though there is a value in going for longer walks to increase your endurance and lengthen your burn time. Just don't try to do it all at once.

Variation helps as well not only your body but your mind and spirit. Great work though and keep going.
