Well, I went through Kaiser Options classes and we were told we could not have red meat because it was too hard for us to digest and also no hot dog /sausage skins??? lol
Yeah even between Kaiser they differ another girl from Kaiser was told she could have 1200 calories at 2 months and we were told 1200 was pretty much maintenance. I mean I think as long as you can tolerate things and they are within your Dr recommendations, it's all good. I don't know that I can wait 6 months to eat red meat (just don't tell on me! lol)
I could not get ground beef down for 5 months, unless you count what is cooked into Wendy's chili. Steak was about 7 months. However, prime rib, being softer and fattier went down at about 4 months and pot roast at about 2 months. It's all about the gravy or sauce.
Mostly the stuff that doesn't go down well now is white food, like bread, pasta, potatoes and rice. But hey, they aren't good for us anyway.
