Default 8 days post op need help

Hi everyone. I'm on day 8 post op. I'm having a few issues maybe you all can help with. Still having trouble with getting enough water in. Constipated and dizzy a lot. Feels like low blood sugar but I'm not diabetic. Been eating puréed foods without difficulty. Too soon ? Any advise is appreciated. Thanks

Did u do a pre op diet? That is how I feel when I go from eating anything and everything to eating diet foods and no caffeine. Its my body telling me its noticing a change in nutrition.. Maybe you were pre diabetic and didn't know it. Try having no pulp orange juice.. Best wishes!!

Must get fluids in! Find whatever way you can and sip sip sip all damn day. Constipation sounds like dehydration to me. Good luck.

Hi there! You have to HAVE TO have water! The dizziness and constipation are directly related to your water intake. Try having diluted juices and green tea.. You can up things a bit and mix Oral Re-hydration Salts (ORS) in water and have that instead of plain water. Wishing you best of luck! xx

i was taking pureed foods by a few days in, as long as smooth you should have no problem...but your doctor will most likely NOT be happy. fluids...if you have not tried them yet, get them quick....sugar free popcicles! they are yummy and if you take a couple of them a day it's such a treat. water is easier in the first couple weeks if it is room temp and has a little flavor in it. a squeeze of lemon or orange ...or you can get mio or crystal light and just add a TOUCH of flavor. my doctor says, no one knows why straight water is harder than flavored water, but it just is. good luck!
