Sleeved and 2 weeks pregnant

So I was wondering if anyone else has go e through a pregnancy after being sleeved and what your experience was. Was it hard to eat enough? How was the writ gain...fast, slow? Was it easy to lose again after you gave birth? I really want to make sure I don't screw this pregnancy up or lose it because of my sleeve...however...the sleeve is the only reason I was able to get pregnant in the first place! Lol

Congrats! I'm sure it will be fine, I saw a Utube video the other day about it, can't remember the name but I'm sure there's lots of info!

And you're really close to goal so you should be fine w/ gaining the recommended amount of weight 30-35 lbs., IIRC. Back in the day ( late 60s) they told my Mom (who is/was thin) not to gain too much weight and gave her DIET pills, i.e. amphetamines, so I'm sure you can build a healthy baby w/ the sleeve! Talk to your surgeon, gyno, and nutritionist for sure.

Congrats! I agree with Dee... You'll do great! You're basically at goal, you may even get there before you start to gain pregnancy weight. I was so sick in my first trimester with both my pregnancies that I lost weight each time. As long as you're taking your vitamins, you should be fine. Our bodies contain everything needed to nourish a baby, it will just take away from you. So like Dee said, talk with your GYN, surgeon and nutritionist and they can probably each offer you some healthy, helpful tips. Again CONGRATULATIONS and keep us updated! So exciting

CONGRATS!!! That is so exciting! You will have to keep us updated (especially me )! I have been so curious about this because my fiance and I are wanting to try for a baby not long after we get married. We don't have a wedding date set yet but it will be at least another year and a half. Hehe I am making him weight for after my surgery and then some lol so I can be in the dress of my dreams!! I have Polysistic Ovarian Syndrome which my doctors have always said could cause quite a few problems during a pregnancy but they also said that would be much better once my weight comes off so we will see. I am excited to see how your journey goes for you!! Once again Congrats!!!!

I gained 15 pounds w my first pregnancy & lost is with in a week of having him, baby was fine. So, its not always pregancy that makes us fat. Just keep eating healthy.

OmG I know a lady on a facebook group I'm on who is about to have her second post-sleeve baby. She lost almost all of her baby weight but ten pounds pretty quickly and then got pregnant really fast again!! LOL! She said she has to eat more often/more times a day to get enough calories for baby than she would normally and she gets her labs checked regularly. I'm sure all will be fine with you and your little one!

I got huge with my first pregnancy but that was my fault and only gained 15 lbs with my second pregnancy because I SWORE I was going to eat right. I even got skinny for a while after my second baby. That didn't last too long :-)-Got big again and got sleeved :-)

Thank you to everyone for responding...I will keep you all posted. I am excited to announce that we are actually 4 weeks along, going on 5...I think I posted 2 before but I don't think I had that right. I do have PCOS and was informed about it when I was 19 and also told at that point I would probably never have children. Prior to sugary my husband and I tried for a year on clomid and they could not get my ovaries to respond at all. This time, so close to goal, everything worked liked clockwork. In fact, for many instances once they reminded my ovaries it was there job to make an egg...things went very fast. The doctor said I progressed quickly and was most likely going to ovulate on my own...but they still had me do an ovulate shot anyhow, just in case. I had two really good eggs and a 3rd ok one so I am hoping for twins! We shall see. My weight has only shifted by 1 pound up or down so far. Trying not to be nervous.

I was sleeved May 15th 2012 and got pregnant right around that same date (either day before or 2 weeks after) and I had the IUD. My start weight was 265 and I'm down to 202. It was extremely hard at first but my body is getting used to it now. I was getting sick a lot at first. IUD was taken out right after I found out I was pregnant so baby should be fine.
