Default Stones ... Stones ... Stones

I feel like I'm going to scream!

I'm 5 weeks post op and I'm currently passing my 2nd kidney stone since surgery ... I feel like I want to die! I've had kidney stones before (I have medullary sponge kidney and that causes kidney stones like MAD ... in the past 5 years, I've passed more than 90 stones) but it just seems like these are harder to pass and are more and more painful ... I've been in agony for the last 24 hours.

    I just needed to share ... </woeisme>

Can you try to take in more water? I'm sorry to hear you aren't feeling well.

Oh my gosh I feel your pain. I passed 2 stones before I had surgery, then just 2 weeks post op I had one that got stuck and caused me to have a raging kidney infection. I thought I was dying. My brother just told me about an herb that his wife takes, I have no idea if it works, but I was going to talk to my urologist about it. Its called 'Chanca Piedra'. It may not do a thing, but maybe it does. Have you had a lithotripsy to break up the stones you haven't passed yet? I had one for a large stone still in my kidney. There's at least one I don't have to worry about passing. Hope you feel better soon!

What signs and symptoms are you guys having with the stones? I am having some problems now and was wondering if I was trying to pass a stone or if I have massive UTI? I have cloudy urine, urinating little, urine looks like I am passing sand water, etc.

The symptoms I suffer from the most is the raging pain ... (for those of you who are squeamish, please pass over this bit)

The easiest way I can think of to describe the pain I feel when passing a kidney stone would be to take a sharp stick ... stick a brillo pad on the end ... poke it up through your intimate areas into your general kidney area ... Use diesel fuel as lubricant ...

    Light a match and enjoy!

Thankfully the stone passed on it's own Monday morning ... so I was only suffering for 36 hours or so ...

I have had lithotripsy 3 times in my life, for previous stones ... I've had a 9mm stone in my right kidney for a few years ... it's not bothering anything so they just leave it in there ... I will N E V E R do lithotripsy again ... I was bruised for WEEKS after the procedures and they didn't even work! (I guess my kidney stones are like me ... stubborn)

Thank you, everyone for the well wishes and the advise ... you guys are the best

WOW that sounds extremely painful! My symptoms are not to that point. I wonder if the increased amount of protein has anything to do with the increase of everyone getting stones? I feel like I am peeing sand and have some blood in my urine, my kidney area hurts but not sure if that is from exercise or not. Today I am focusing on drinking a lot of water and flushing out whatever the problem is out!
