    Default Depressed

I have been at the same weight for 10 days now. I know this is a common stall but ts so depressing. I really am trying my hardest to get everything in that i am supposed to. Still have abdominal pain and it hurts at my belly button. Am I doing something wrong? Anything anyone can think of that I could be doing?

    Start of peo-op diet - 215 lbs
Surgery date - 10-3-2012 weighed in at 199
    1st post-op appointment - 191

I have had 5 stalls (the longest one was 10 days) and I am only 10 weeks post-op. My best advice is to focus on other things related to your journey (food, exercise, body measurements, etc) it will help you ride out the stalls. In my opinion the stalls are for the most part unavoidable until your body becomes accustom to the physical changes that are occurring so rapidly.I had the pain to the right of my belly button until day 26 (I have been keeping a journal of my entire journey). It was the largest of the laproscopic incisions (where the portion of the stomach was removed) and required a stitch on the inside (which adds to the healing time needed).

    Heaviest: 387 pounds (1999)
Weight last appointment prior to surgery: 265 (6/29/12)
Weight beginning of two-week full liquid/high protein diet: 265 (7/25/12)
Weight day of surgery (8/8/12): 253.2
    ONEDERLAND: 12/10/12: 198
    100 pounds lost 7/3/13
Reached goal weight of 160 pounds on 9/9/13 (1 year, 1 month, and 1 day post-op)

I found myself at a stall for the past 7 days but I have also been having issues being regular and my mom says it's because I am not drinking enough water. I finally lost 2 lbs after that laxative (lol-not). I am going to try to drink more water and I haven't started walking yet. I keep using the excuse of waiting til I get home (my husband says he will walk with me and the dogs). It will be our 12 year anniversary on 10/23, the day after I get home. Good luck, try not to stress on it, the great thing is - you know you are not alone on this issue.

Are you getting any exercise? I found that with a stall, I felt better exercising. I started by walking in my neighborhood.

Don't weigh yourself everyday!! My surgeon was telling me to weigh once every 2 weeks. During stalls is when the fat is used up, and you loose inches instead. Swimming is a great form of exercise!
