Need puree diet help!

Hi guys! So I'm on week 1 of at least 2 of puree foods after a week of liquids. I still have to do 1 protein shake each morning, then mini meals every 3 hours of about 7g protein to get in 65-80g protein a day.

This week I have a few hangups. On Saturday I will be away from my house most of the day. On Sunday, I have a bridal shower at a restaurant. I need suggestions for both days. I am not beyond sneaking something into the bridal shower, lol. I'm thinking I can pack a bag with a freezer thingie, with a yogurt, pureed chick peas. Any other ideas? Things that don't have to be heated and won't spoil quickly.

I think those are good choices. You might make yourself a double protein shake to have to sip on. Or buy a Muscle Milk to take. If you like cottage cheese that would work. Guacamole made with unflavored protein powder added or made with LF cottage cheese would work. Theworldaccordingtoeggface.com has a good recipe for making it with cottage cheese.

Start being assertive, damn it you're worth it!

Call the restaurant where the shower will be, explain you had bariatric surgery and are on a restricted diet....ask them what is on the menu for the shower - no one at the shower needs to know and you'll have that answer in advance. If there's nothing you can eat (ie egg or tuna salad) then plan B...muscle milk/prepackaged drink poured into a glass is a great idea.

Saturday? Wendy's chili baby!! so slow cooked my nutritionist considered it pureed, just chew real good....you'll thank me later for it's pure deliciousness...

Yeah take some things with you in a bag and I'm sure they will have some soft foods that you can puree in your mouth by chewing it up like crazy and if not you got your foods with you.

I love wendy's chilli, I have not had it since the surgery. I used to eat it everyday for a few months a while back.
