Tips to tighten loose skin.

I use a lotion that is made with olive oil and it works wonders on the skin. I discovered it when I had an ACL reconstruction and was putting it on my knee, what should have been a huge ugly scar is barely noticeable now so I use it on my whole body in an effort to help the loose skin stay more elastic.

Bio-Oil is a good bet.It is great for moisturising, stretch marks and scars and it is not pricey. I am waiting another couple of weeks before I start using it as my wounds are not completely healed yet.

That is my concern as well ( the skin in the back of the arms). My friend who had the lap band said to start alot of Triceps excerise now and contiune so it wont sag as much....

Whilst probably nowhere near as strong as the support garment that we are all dying to get our hands on, Avon also brings out clothing that has in-built tummy control, and also has some of those support panties and did have an all-over support under suit. Some offer more support than others...of couse the ones that offer more support are the ones you have to fight with to get into (lol). I usually try to buy up one or two whenever they are on special: some a bit too small yet, but of course, now, I know that I WILL eventually fit into them.
My fiance's nieces were comparing notes about their c-sections recently, and also mentioned these support garments: perhaps they may give you one when you're at the hospital after a caesaruab...unfortunately there was nothing like that 20 years ago when I had mine...or if there was, I was not offered it....

Take good care of your skin. Exfoliation has been known to improve the skin's elasticity. You can also have a long hot bath every week or twice a week. In your bath, put in some sea salt. This will help draw out the toxins!

when can one start a bath again ? sea salt when is that ok and wont effect wounds? my stitches are out

My surgeon advised me that baths and swimming pools and hot tubs should be avoided until after my 6-week check up. Showers only until all incisions are totally healed.

Diane I was looking at spanks or somthing similar the other day and they actually have one that is like a shirt with sleeves in them. Wouldn't help in the summer but could be worn in the wintertime.

Salt water will actually help heal wounds and cuts you may have faster. It is more saline and closer to our natural body chemistry than pure water. However, do speak with your doctor before taking a bath and adding anything in. Also, if he gives you the okay, be sure not to use the scented kind for a while.

I have one of these I got from Roamans. It's worn under the boobs then up over the shoulders. Works great to suck in the tummy and pull up the arms. I'm wearing it a lot under my clothes, just looks like a second shirt underneath (in black). It also makes you stand up straight!
