I just had the sleeve surgery and found this site. I am on liquid diet until the 15th of may and doc said i can start my protein drinks on the 12th if i felt up to it. The protein drink I got was by nectar they have lemon tea and lemonade both good. So far i have been drinking diet snapple sipping 1 oz. every 20 minutes. also i have crystal light, regular tea ( many flavors with that) no sugar though. substitute is allowed and in my tea i use a little crystal light lemonade to give it a lemon flavor. sugar free ice pops!! i forgot about the ice chips and now i am happily chewing on ice thanks to this thread i read.
The surgery went very well. I had alot of gas by my shoulders which helped me get up and walk around more. Surprisingly there wasn't much pain from the surgery itself. Once i started drinking fluids it burned a lil going down but that was only the first time. I am very happy about the choice I made. I have twins age 5 and when i cook for them i think this looks good and i so wanna eat it too. but I am not hungry. i see food and miss it but that is it. no desire to grab those chips and eat em i can do without them. plus i know if i do i will get sick LOL. I am looking forward to a life change and think i made the right decision in doing this. So hello everyone!!

I agree...check it out daily- forums and blogs....you will find so much information to help you.
My surgery was 5/1 and I came home craving cheese fries adn mac and cheese....needless to say
I have not had any. but last night was my first night eating pureed chicken (with lite mayo and dill cubes)
and mashed potatoes!! I felt like a real person! It will get easier with every passing day!
