We see a lot of posts about what we can't tolerate post-sleeve. But what do you love now? For me, I'd say popcorn. Hated it before...now I love it!
Vitamins. I know that's weird, but all my life I've known I should take them, but was terrible about remembering. Now that I'm in the habit I don't ever want to miss a dose because I'm feeling so much better & I think they are a big reason why. Especially the chewable caramel calcium squares from Costco...they have become my treat 3 times a day.
clothes shopping
and i wouldn't say i ENJOY it, but i am so happy to be able to walk up and down my basement steps for the laundry...without slipping into a coma afterwards lol. I have energy now and i can walk and carry things easily!
Pounds LOST since surgery 111
Finally reached Onderland 3/1/2013
Height 5'3" Small frame
Starting BMI day of surgery : 45.7 MORBIDLY OBESE CLASS 3
BMI current 26.0 OVERWEIGHT
my first goal is to get to 141pounds, that will put me in the NORMAL range bmi. My second goal is 120, which is thin and healthy.
Eatting, I hate to eat cause I knew I would eat to much and feel like crap. Now I only eat what my body tells how much and it is wonderful! And looking at myself in the mirror. But how I tell myself that I am skinny, health and beautiful and my mirror agrees
Ditto on the popcorn. And I find myself actually craving sweet stuff now, whereas prior to surgery I couldn't have cared less about them (was always big on fried/salty/savory unhealthy food).

I can't remember when I first started eating popcorn again. I will say that I did not wait as long as my doctor wanted me to before starting "real" food again. I had surgery on December 12th and on Christmas I was eating ham, mac and cheese, and cake LOL. It was literally a few bites, but I ate it! I am about 4 and a half months out and I eat anything I want (including sweets, chips, etc...) Nothing bothers me really except flour tortillas and ice cream. I think the reason I like popcorn is I feel like I'm eating a lot but by the time you chew it down its practically nothing. I still drink protein shakes and eat healthy almost all the time. I never deprive myself. If I want a cookie or a piece of candy, I eat it. A bite or two is always enough to satisfy me...now bring on that popcorn! LOL
Tea! I NEVER liked tea before I was sleeved. But while I was in Mexico I had an unusual craving for peach tea--and the Hotel Lucerna had the best tea. I loved it so much I sent the hotel manager an email when I returned home just to ask him what brand they served. He actually responded and I've been enjoying it at home ever since. Dilmah. Available at Amazon.
What do I enjoy now that I didn't before the sleeve:
1. Tea
2. Fish
3. Exercise
Most thankful for:
1. The days I can poop
