Good morning! Can't believe we're almost a week into December already.

B: Sausage and cheese with a quarter of a croissant
S: swiss cheese cubes and a low sodium bbq beef stick
L: Instead of cauliflower with cheese, I made cauliflower and mushroom risotto with dinner last night, so I have some of that with a small piece of kielbasa.
    S: Tunafish with lemon mayo
D: Chicken Tikka Masala and a tiny pit of sunchoke puree

also a protein shake after the gym

Morning all, hope it's a good one!

B: small amount of scrambled unless the cafeteria has hard boiled and then 2 whites, 3 slices of turkey bacon
L: going out to lunch with a co-worker, probably greek salad w/grilled chicken
D: salmon, veggie tots (never tried them before, but giving them a shot), roasted broccoli
S: 80 calorie greek toasted coconut yogurt w/blueberries

Went to my holiday work party last night, danced the night away! Didn't really eat anything but 1 mini éclair and 2 drinks. Went home and ate 1/2 pb & sf jelly on 45 calorie bread and a Yasso yogurt bar so that was my late dinner Have a great day all!

It's getting lonely on this thread I hope everyone had a great holiday and continues to enjoy the season. I ate way too much "junk" and I do mean junk, too many cookies, candy, etc.; things I usually don't eat since surgery in such the quite large quantities I did over the weekend. I had some bad news, and would like to blame that but I think I just wasn't mindfully eating and there was too much junk around where I was.
Today is a new day and I'm back on track. Lots of water, lots of protein and lots of thinking before I make choices, hence; I'm here posting so it's "out there".

B: usual, greek nonfat plain yogurt w/berries, granola, and some chopped pecans
L: salad w/sweet & spicy tuna packet, cheese stick, green peppers, red onions and chick peas
D: maple bourbon glazed salmon, string beans, and some apple sauce (maybe)
S: Dannon 80 calorie yogurt, toasted coconut vanilla
80 ounces water throughout the day and 2 coffees

Hey, jerzeygirl -- I too am glad the holidays are coming to a close. My challenge was the extended family holiday meals where I had NO control over what was served. There was so much salt and grease and sugar in the down-home, old-style cookin' on display. Although it was all prepared and served with love, Jeez Louise! I felt like crap for several days afterward. I just don't eat like that any more and can't handle it.

Like you, I'm back on the wagon:

    Breakfast:
All-bran cereal with strawberries and skim milk
    Skinny latte
    GNC chocolate protein shake

    Lunch:
Turkey / cheese / tomato sandwich on whole-wheat bread
    Baby carrots

    Dinner:
    Grilled salmon
    Steamed broccoli
    Grilled zucchini

    Afternoon Snack:
    Coffee
    1 tbsp half and half
    1 biscotti

    Evening Snack:
    Greek yogurt and blueberries

And like you -- LOTS of water!

Happy New Year to us all in 2017 (when my third surgiversary will happen). So very, very grateful for my sleeve.

I am so glad I'm not the only one. Today is our last Christmas celebration. (My niece and nephews now have in laws so Christmas at my Mom's got moved from Boxing Day until today.) I will get rid of the baked goods today and thus have no temptation In the house.

I'm back on the wagon as well. Although I have to say that my husband's Polish family doesn't cook unhealthy things and I don't care for most of their sweets. My daughter made a vegan lasagna two times and it was delicious! (Even the haters liked it.)

So, while I didn't eat "unhealthily", I ate in larger quantities, and gained 3 lbs. I usually lose 5 lbs over Christmas, but oh well. Gotta get used to how this new body works. Small changes have bigger effects apparently.

    Amen!

Post-WLS it's never the "fell of the wagon" that causes serious regain, but the "never got right back ON the wagon" that does.

We really do have this. Thank goodness!

    Hi JERSEY Girl,

Hang in there. Everyone had multiple temptations around. ''Tis the season to indulge. So don't be so hard on yourself. What matters is that you got back on the proper eating plan. I am here for you if you need to chat.

Thanks for all the support, folks!

Ann, I'm on the wagon again I try not to be too hard on myself but it's scary when old habits creep back and you start not liking yourself anymore. Tonight is bariatric fitness so that will kick up my program and I walked the mall last night. Hoping to fit in some type of exercise daily until the new year and then I'm committed to at least 4 times a week. Yoga on Mondays, bariatric fitness on Wednesday and a DVD the other two days until it warms up and I can walk daily both at work and at home! Things are looking brighter on the "bariatric front."

B: 2 hard boiled egg whites, 2 strips of bacon (ate in hospital cafeteria)
L: salad w/chili, cheese stick OPA yogurt dressing
D: probably a small container of 2% cottage cheese w/apple before I exercise
S: 1 slice 45 calorie bread w/low salt turkey breast or a yogurt when I get home about 8ish

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

  23. Said thanks:
