You are doing so amazing. Congratulations on your progress. I understand how difficult it is to keep a good exercise program when living in a cold state or city. I live in Canada and have to tolerate long winter months. I also go to the mall as much as possible. I also understand how old habits can creep up. But you seem to be a strong lady. I look up to you. My struggle is that my weight stays the same for weeks on end. I sometimes feel depressed. But then I read posts like yours and it helps me persevere. Thanks for posting. Love to have people to chat with.

i'm back too! i am awful about planning my meals and tracking when i'm not in my regular routine, and while i definitely ate a few bad things here and there, i did ok over the holidays. i stuck to my gym routine 4-5 days per week, and focused on water, and then didn't beat myself up if i ate a mini cannoli here or there. i avoided the scale until this morning, and was ecstatic to be down an extra 5 lbs - making it 65lbs total in almost 3 months!

    today's plan:

    b: quiche lorraine
s: tuna salad with roasted beets
l: small piece of homemade egg foo young
s: roasted turkey, cheese and almond protein snack pack
d: bacon wrapped filet mignon with roasted zucchini

and i'll also have half a premier protein shake after the gym.

    Month 3: -65 (down 13)
    Month 4: -77 (down 12)
    Month 5: -81 (down 4)

    welcome back, rebamoon!

I'm over the food from the holiday Did a purge of holiday foods yesterday, ate some, threw some, brought some to work; but they're gone from my sight. I used to have what I considered, "Great willpower"; not so much after 5 years and I'm not proud of that fact either. I do try to be kind to myself and do self talk like I would to others at the support group, on the phone, when I round on patients, but it's not working. I'm feeling my pants get tighter and I'm getting too sedentary. This must and will stop (she says to herself with firmness).

B: usual nonfat plain yogurt w/berries, pecans, small amount of granola
L: chopped salad w/3 ozs. chicken, babybel cheese stick, OPA dressing. Might switch up the chicken to chili as I'm having chicken tonight, that remains to be seen
D: string beans, mushrooms, 3-4 ozs. chicken, small salad on side if needed
    S: Yasso frozen yogurt bar

Drinking 70-80 ounces of water today. I do wish everyone a happy, healthy new year and continued success on your personal journey!

Thank goodness the holidays are gone. I had an emergency visit to FL by car from NJ to visit my husbands grandmother (94) because everyone thinks it's her last Christmas. And I can say that traveling to FL on a Tues with the dog & hubby isn't my idea of spending my week off & then coming back on Fri - totally exhausted & food choices on the road aren't great, lol.

So here's to 2017 being a better year:

Breakfast: 4 ozs of cottage cheese with 2 tablespoons of frozen blueberries
Lunch: 4 ozs of homemade pot roast; 1/2 container of peaches in water (dole)
Snack: 4 slices of cracker barrel cheese
    Dinner: TBD
    Plenty of water

Yes, please tell us about Dave's Killer Bread! I am dying to know I have used Ezekiel and it's pretty good and love the 45 calorie breads although I can only eat one slice at a time (thankfully)

B: none just coffee. Had an eye doctor appt. which ran over 1 1/2 hours so I wanted to get to work
L: chicken on salad w/green peppers, red onions, chick peas and a Babybel cheese
D: going to attend Bariatric Fitness at 6:30, so probably a yogurt before about 4:30 ish if I'm hungry; if not some nuts
S: pb & sf jelly on toasted Ezekiel bread, glass of milk before bed

Plenty of water also but I got a late start and am already behind. Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

I don't know Dave or his Killer Bread, but look forward to learning more about him / it.

But I have found the Fit & Active whole wheat bread at Aldi's at 70 calories for TWO slices to be very delicious.

The two slices have 5 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber. Fabulous!
