Talking Almost 3 months since i had my sleeve

Wow, i never thought i was gonna be able to type this lol I am almost three months out (Sleeved on Nov 30,2010) and I am down 44lbs so far, i am supposed to see my surgeon on March 3rd for my 3 month check up and i wanted to be around 199lbs so i am dang close and soooooooo HAPPY~! lol
I will just say this, in the three months i did have times were i didnt lose anything for a few weeks and then suddenly i lost 8 or 10lbs, so do not get frustrated, its normal. I can pretty much eat anything i want but in very small amounts and i chose to not eat the crap food because most times, when i do eat badly i regret it in pains in my stomach or upper left shoulder blade. I did fail at the girl scout cookies this year, lol I had some, and they went down to EASY so be careful - i didnt gain, but i didnt lose either when i ate those cookies. For the most part i always have my protein first, i eat egg whites, and alot of fish (which i never use to eat) but i now eat at least 2-3 times a week. My stomach still makes noise almost everytime i eat (gurgles) like its attacking the food, and sometimes there are days when i can't eat much at all, my stomach doesnt want too.. lol so i just make sure to drink and ill throw in protein drinks- i guess everyone is different i just wanted to let everyone know how things have went for me thus far. Remember your not perfect and you will screw up and eat something you shouldn't but you will really not want the crap food like you use to, in my experience that is.
I do find pasta fills me up FAST so i do not eat it much, bread goes down better when its toasted, i love SUBWAY and i can still have it (turkey sub) but i get a kid size and trust me that is still way to much, i eat on that for a few meals... anyway thats all for now, i hope everyone is doing well!!!!! if you have any questions, feel free to ask- i love to help if i can.

I will be three months March 9. I am down 37 lbs. Everything is going well. I just can not eat much at a time. Could graze but really try not to. I try hard to get in my fluids and my proteins. I do my best when I journel my food. I count proteins, carbs, fats, calories. I hit a two week plateau after four weeks out and I have not had one since. thankfully.

I am a little over a month out and have had great success. I did have a complication with my spleen and was in severe pain for two weeks, but am feeling good now.

Is anyone having trouble with leg cramps, naseau or tiredness?

Congratulations Alwaysthinking! I am almost at 3 months out myself...tomorrow is my 3-month sleeve-iversary, and I am down 50 lbs! I could have written your post myself; our stories are so similar...except for the pasta and bread part, which I still try to avoid.

thanks soooo much for your post, i'm 3.5 weeks out and thought i was losing too slow (8lbs since surgery) but your story is helping me relax and not be so stressed about it. In the back of my head i keep thinking, "what if this doesn't work?"...but how can it not when i eat 600 cals/day and exercise?! I will start enjoying the process more and focus on the nonscale victories more and stay away from the scale for awhile!

Hi. Wow that's amazing. I am 10 weeks from surgery and I've lost 31.5 pounds so I think you've done brilliantly! I am eating a lot of salad and fish and on 1000-1200 calories per day. Have also started doing exercise but am busy at home with 3 young children anyway. Have had a few plateaus which are really disheartening. Like now I have increased my exercise and lost nothing for a week! Bowels nor quite moving regularly yet though so it could be that. How many cals are you all on and are you drinking protein shakes? It is surprising me how much I can eat. I thought it was supposed to be a year before I could eat a starter or kids portion but I can certainly do that now. I also seem to graze on ryvitas and cream cheese which do add up tlin calories.
