    Default Loose skin

Ok everyone. I know it's been a while since I've posted but I've been really busy with a 16 month old. I was wondering what everyone is doing about the loose skin with weight loss I'm thrilled to have and continuing to lose weight and feel I've done it slowly to try to avoid the loose skin. However I've got it my legs look bad and stomach. What are y'all doing about it? Any tricks I should be doing?

I'm ignoring it and trying to concentrate on looking better in clothes, not out of them lol.
My stomach and inner thighs are pretty bad. I look a bit like a melted candle. Lol. I'm hoping for surgery one day, but even if that doesn't happen, I'm healthier, I look better in my clothes, and the extra skin is just a reminder of how far I've come
Hit first goal of 155 at 9.5 months. Setting new goal of 145 which is less then I've ever weighed in my adult life. Woo hoo!
Hit 2nd goal of 145 at 12 months. Room for 1 more goal, I want to be less then half the person I used to be which means 139

Me too! I say to hubby I look so bad, but he tells me how much better I look now than before. I would like to have surgery on the stomach apron but it will proably not happen so in the future I will be happy In the smaller clothes and being healthier.

That makes a little sad to read, I was hoping if you were in the lower 200's you wouldn't have loose skin issues. I guess something has to give for the gift of health so fast. I hope your skin catches up with your weightloss. Best wishes.

I expected it, so no surprise I have batwings and a droopy belly and weird looking thighs. But.... I have met folks who say that it just takes time for the skin to remodel, up to a year after you are done losing weight.
I'm wearing a cheap version of spanx, covers my upper arms, and sits under the base of my bra and then down to my hips. I tuck my belly up to try to train it to "stay". The thighs.... I suppose I should be wearing spanx there to, but it is what it is... I hate wearing tight stuff on the bottom.
I'll have an upper arm and breast lift later.
I'm more upset about my neck than any of the rest. Doing all I can and I'm hoping it will continue to lift and tighten with facial exercises, youth code and retinol A....

Start weight 335, down to 218, up during gastritis. Have accepted there is no way to lose it with my hypoglycemia. Current weight 260. Currently doing 10 day sleeve reset and determined to get back down to my post surgical weight or close to it.

I bought some 3, 5, and 8 lb weights and am trying to do the arm exercises daily to develop muscle underneath. I know water plays a big role and genetics. I read when you have a baby and gain weight for 9 months your body can be pretty forgiving but most of us have been overweight for years, decades even. I am expecting it too. Kaiser will remove the excess abdominal skin when you are at goal weight IF it is rashly and/or infected so everyone just goes to their doctors appt after scrubbing with a loufa or sand there. I really don't want to go through another surgery so I will be buying pushup bras and see how worth it the tummy tuck will be to me if and when the time comes.

I also have bought the arm weights and I feel like they are working. I watch the biggest loser and see how their bodies seem to not be real saggy however I know on the finally night they wear spandex.

Wow, my Kaiser won't do that but it would be awesome if you could share that info w/ the Kaiser group, Stacey, for those people that do live in your area.

After losing 25 lbs I'm wanting to get some undergarments that will hold things in place, too. Where do I start? What brand is affordable? Do I trust the size charts on them?

I wear this one. I am into a size large,(fit snugly but it should) and I wear a size 20 otherwise so it looks on track.

What about during the summer? I want to wear as little as possible under an (appropriate for my age) dress. I'll get surgery at some point b/c I don't want to be constrained all of the time, BTDT but I do think that stuff is awesome 1) During the winter 2) On occasion when you NEED to wear that particular outfit, sounds like Grace has it every time she puts it on!

I guess the best thing then would be a high waist panty girdle?
I won't be going without sleeves until I get surgery in about 18 mo, so it doesn't matter if I cut back the long sleeve one and just wear 3/4 sleeve shirts this summer with my skirts and sandals. And yes, I only take it off at bedtime. I'm not having pannus surgery unless I start getting infections or something and even then I'll fight it, so I'm doing all I can to help it lift...

Wish I could say there is an answer but it is what it is... we're stuck with loose skin as a side effect of this.

Ugh. Longer cotton type bike shorts I'll do w/ the industrial strength bras I always wear, to be torn off as soon as I get home.

Panty girdle...shudder. Makes me think of nylon, polyester and other man made products. The industrial strength bra is made out of some otherworldly fabric but it doesn't bother me as much, go figure.
