Caught a cold

I'm 18 days post surgery and I've caught a dang chest cold. Which hurts my stomach muscles when I cough. I really don't want to eat or drink right now either. Has anyone else gotten sick this soon after surgery and what can you take??

I am on day 20 post op and i got a cold.
when i sneeze i feel my stomach is being ripped out.

T_T is that normal?

Wow were going thru the same thing. I dred sneezing and coughing, it hurts my stomach like I've pulled a muscle.

i have pains even if i suddenly laughed!
i laugh hard, not very cute or girly but what can i say!!
i have heard about mourning food but did any one mourn laughing?

put a pillow over your stomach it helps, when coughing or sneezing

i found out laying in bed is easier than while sitting up.
now the cold past but there is a constant dull pain near my belly button.
i am afraid to ask the doctor and hear bad news.

Wendy, I have the same pain and was thinking oh crap what did I do now, lol... But the pains do go away, its like their intermittant

i found a new fresh cut near my belly button today.
i dunnno if i really did rip my guts sneezing
i am so worried but afraid if i consult a doctor i would hear worse news.

i had a bad cough in the hospital, they gave me a pillow to put over my stomach as a sorta splint when i tried to cough, it did help, made it less painful but it still hurts. my husband loves to make jokes and make me laugh, which is killing me because i cant laugh right now, it hurts to much. sigh ..lol
