Default Has anyone tried calorie cycling?

I'm in this HUGE stall and I can't seem to get out of it. I was considering calorie cycling, which is basically not eating the same amount of calories each day in order to trick your metabolism. I wanted to knwo if anyone else had or is considering trying this?

"Calorie cycling, or calorie zigzagging or shifting, is a diet regimen built upon the premise that keeping the body's metabolism guessing about caloric intake is a successful way to lose weight. Because the metabolism never reaches a state of homeostasis, or stability, it is forced keep guessing on caloric intake and, as a result, it stays revved up. This state burns fat. A calorie cycling diet purportedly keeps the body from adapting to any certain amount of calories."

I have only done it where you eat you same low cal diet 6 days and on the 7 th day you eat more calories. It stands to reason, but I haven't done it with the sleeve yet. It has worked in the past.

I dont do it on purpose but my caloric input changes a lot daily. I eat anywhere from 300-900. Its usually in the 500-600 range but it varies daily.

I have done it to break out of a stall, and it worked. I watch my calories like an obsessed woman! I upped them because I was concerned I wasn't getting enough and my body was slowing down. I started losing again, I think it is a good idea to fluctuate sometimes.

I did it when I was on weight watchers, and it did seem to work to break a stall. It was known as "wendys plan" in that world. Knowing what I know now, I would probably try doing a more like low carb thing to jump start weight loss. I have found that I am insulin resistant/or sensitive and I respond to carbs.

I have done it to break stalls, some that lasted 2 weeks. I also count my calories diligently, but I try to not have the same amount each day. Sometimes I will eat as much as 200 more calories in a given day, then deduct them later in the week. As long as you have the required amount at the end of the week, then it will work. My metobolic rate is low, so I have to do this to lose consistently.

I had not one but two slices of pizza tonight tomorrow it's back to basics. Maybe it will kickstart my stall I've had for a week. The pizza isn't a normal thing. It was hormonal today :/
