For many of us, the surgery took away the mechanism we used to cope/comfort ourselves with instead of facing what was going on with us head on...bringing all those things out to be dealt with in some...
Thanks! My rock bottom was actually getting on one of the river raft family rides at an amusement park, and I couldn't get the seatbelt buckled. Well, if you can't buckle the belt, you cant...
Been awhile since I've been on here...I know when I first started the process I looked forward to hearing how everything was working for everyone at around 6 months to a year...At 6 and 1/2 months I...
I have always had very thick hair. Four going on five months in, I have lost a good amount of it. :( I console myself with the fact that along with my hair I have also lost a good amount of my butt....
I tried a margarita about a week ago and made it about half-way. No bad behavior for me that day, but I can see the potential for trouble!
Hi Heather! :)
Don't be discouraged...my ticker also includes my pre-op loss :)
I have lost a total of 54lbs post-op :) I think you are right on track!
Best of luck to you....
Purplelace70~ Yep, that is the feeling. It does seem to help to get up and walk a bit...trying to lay down seems to be a big no-no. I also kept thinking I was taking too big of bites or eating too...
My hubby made sure I came home to a clean house, and didn't have to worry about cooking or cleaning unless I just wanted to get up and do something. He also reminded me to walk, sip water, and to...
Best of luck to you! Just know that everything is going to go well for you that day, and we will be sending out good vibes to you. :) Check in here often for great advice and support....
I had surgery on March 27th and have been thrilled with everything so far...no complications...no trouble getting water in at all. However, the last two weeks or so I am feeling more restriction. I...
Makes more sense to me for them to cover it. Many companies offer "health and wellness programs" and pay for gym memberships, etc...why not WLS? You get healthier employees who ultimately would most...
My goals:
1. Remove laundry hanging from treadmill and USE IT.
2. Keep getting protein in, but try to stick to lower fat choices
3. Start strength training 3X week
4. 230lbs by EOM
Good luck...
You are just bad a$$ :) Awesome job!
Shake your routine up a bit...change your exercises up (cardio and strength) and upping your calories does seem to work...I was stalled for close to three weeks and was about to have a major freak...
Go for it girl :) I agree with all of the above posters... Good luck!
Wow girl! Amazing :)
That's just awesome :)
Don't be discouraged :) I had my surgery 6 days after you...I dropped 10lbs right after surgery...then NOTHING for 3 weeks. It sucked. Big time. I was trying to stay positive, but was beginning to...
I don't crave sugar either after surgery and anything with sugar seems to make me feel just horrid for about an hour after. I do seem to do OK with a small piece of dark chocolate very occasionally....
Perfectly normal pre-op freak out. You're allowed. :) But know that you are gonna do great...
It'll go by faster than you think :) Good luck!
Breakfast: Scrambled egg 3oz, 1/2 slice 2% cheese, 1 sausage link mashed up (occasionally a SF iced coffee)
Lunch: Two turkey meatballs (Jenny-O) mashed up w/ some marinara
Dinner: 2oz LF...
It does. :) I have been fortunate to be one who has had zero trouble with hydration but still definitely feel restriction when I eat. I have not had any trouble drinking at all, still can't chug or...
