It has been a long time since I've posted on here but I am glad to say that, even though the journey of being healthy will never end, the weight loss portion I'm happy to say has ended. I have...
One of these days I'll find out how to post a picture on here haha.
I'm 6 ft tall...my doctor set my goal weight for 200, but I told him I was gonna aim for 185.
Just stepped on the scale and I'm 176 (24 pounds BELOW my goal weight). This surgery ended up being a life-saver and I hope all you folks continue to enjoy the same success I've had!
I drink beer occasionally...I just can't chug anymore.
Beer is just fine (speaking from experience and research)
Easy...no carbs. Have a 30g shake for breakfast, a 30g shake for lunch, and 1 egg or refried beans for dinner. This diet did well for me at the same point post-op
I'm 24 and my sleeve experience was awesome. I followed my plan religiously and lost a bunch of weight fairly fast compared to others. Also, a good piece of advice I received is try to walk as much...
200 lbs. / 33" waist / size large t-shirt...healthiest I've been in a long time and still shedding the pounds. Feeling great and wishing good luck to you all!
I waited until I lost a significant amount of weight...just because every time I swung a bat or club it would hurt my skin due to it being stretched from being overweight. I'm over four months...
As long as you chew it well there should be no problem. I just got cleared today by my doctor to have beef. Good luck!
Give it another week and the hunger should go away. I felt the same way for about 10 days post-op and my hunger pains and cravings went away.
I don't count calories...but if I had to say, I suppose it's around 300-400.
I believe it's head hunger. For about ten days post-op I was miserable and wanted to eat, but it was like a light-switch went off and my head hunger just went away. I haven't felt hungry ever...
It's only been 3 1/2 months since my surgery and I can hardly remember what being huge and fat was like. Maybe it seems that way because I put on my weight pretty rapidly within 5 years and I've lost...
Not in my case. My dad still eats like a pig with the old shitty foods I used to love. My brother eats the shitty foods...but not as much as my father. And my mom had the gastric bypass in 1999, so...
Sleeve's the way to go in my opinion. I don't want some plastic crap in my body. The seminars I attended really sealed the deal as far as me making a decision on which surgery to pursue.
No. This surgery is awesome.
Not sure why other people get hungry more frequently. However, I have never been hungry or had any horrible cravings once since my surgery. Best of luck to you!
I had liquid protein shots for 2 weeks post-op...to me that seems ok to do.
Once a day at 6 pm...mostly seafood (shrimp, mussels, fish) and grilled chicken with the occasional vegetable (love steamed broccoli).
Absolutely! Love mine over-easy or in omelette form.
Mahi Mahi....season and cook it like a steak and it doesn't taste fishy at all.
Screwdrivers are awesome...I've had no problems with the OJ. And yes, I do get buzzed way quicker than I used to.
