    Re: pork rinds

I guess I don't consider 5g high in fat, and I normally don't eat a full "serving" at one time. Like I said, your body needs fat for it to function properly. That's why so many low/no fat diets fail....

    Re: pork rinds

Ok, I don't get on here hardly at all anymore as I am over 2 years out. I eat pork rinds ALL OF THE TIME!! They are a decent source of protein. When I have a craving for something salty, I eat pork...

Re: Vets, do u still feel like a fat person?

Well, I don't get on here much any more, but I came across this thread. It is very interesting the games our minds play on us. I was one of them that in my mind's eye, I didn't see myself as fat...

    Re: Buyer Beware!!

Now we just need a web-site that we can check ALL of the protein shakes and powders. It amazes me that they can get away with having that crap in there. Ticks me off actually. :/

  8. Re: Male Plastic Surgery Journey #2: Pre-Op & Nerves & Photos

I think you're looking good even without surgery, but I totally understand!! How I feel clothed vs naked is a whole different story. I've got the saggy baggy, but it's WAY better than I was before....

    Re: My new favorite hobby

I like that new hobby! I started shopping at some Goodwill stores in some big cities. They have a LOT nicer clothes, name brand everything, than the one close to me. I love buying jeans for $6-7.00!...

    Re: The scale said what???!!!!!

Yikes!! I sure hope they make it up to you! Not only screwing up on the weight, but for their attitude towards you. That's uncalled for no matter what the reason may be. I'm sure it feels GREAT to be...
  12. Re: I Absolutely Can't Stand Sugar-Free and Fat-Free Stuff - Is it Necessary?

I do have to agree on some of this. I think all of the so-called diet food just makes people fatter!! They have even done studies that say that artificial sweeteners actually INCREASE hunger making...

Re: What did you say about my boobs???

Not so much now, but before, it would suck to get your nipples caught between your toes and trip over them!! LOL ;) A friend of mine told me about a time she was helping her grandma get dressed and...

Re: What did you say about my boobs???

Something else to add...by going up a band size and not cup size, the excess breast tissue is actually in the band and not in the cup. I like to watch make-over shows and every time they do a segment...

Re: Veggies, salads, cool & crunchies after VSG?

Since about 4 or 5 months out, I've been eating romaine lettuce with cheese almost every day. It doesn't bother me a bit. I also can eat celery. I'm not a BIG veggie eater, so I really haven't tried...

Re: Surgeons "ideal" weight vs my goal weight

This is where today's vanity sizing comes in. About 24+ years ago, when I was in high school, I was about this weight, but I wore a 10. You also have to remember that back then, they really didn't...

Re: 20 lbs to go why is it so hard

There is actually a good reason why the closer you get to goal the harder it is to lose. Go to Google and look up a page to check your BMR, the amount of calories your body uses just to live, not...

Re: Surgeons "ideal" weight vs my goal weight

My first appt the dr asked where I wanted to end up. I told him around 140, because that was close to my weight in high school. He kind of chuckled and told me 150 was more realistic. Right now, I...

Re: Christy Eastbrook (Dr. Niebles Coordinator)
