  3. So bummed...another road block to losing weight

I had my sleeve done December 14th. I had hoped by now I would be down to the 170's, but here I am stuck in the 190's and unable to exercise or do much of anything.

    Re: Stall

I stalled at 2 weeks as well. There was really no explanation for it. The doc and dietician said it's common and that I would start losing again soon and I did. Good luck!

    Re: Newbie with questions

I think taking the Pristiq will be fine. I have taken Effexor XR for about 13 years and it is very similiar to Pristiq (it is also time released). My surgeon allowed be to restart it 3 days after...
  13. Re: What do you do, now that you're not eating as much?

I started going to the movies more often and bring a bottle of water in my purse. It's been great! It's 2 hours I don't think about food!

Re: anatomy 101 for this surgury.

I just had an abdominal CT and an x-ray of my abdomen and didn't see a thing. I will have to ask the doc to let me see it again.

Yep, I wondered that same thing at first. Have you ever watched the surgery on You Tube? The staples are so different from regular skin staples. They actually look kinda like a zipper (at least to...

    Re: Cream of wheat

I ate Cream of Wheat when I was 2 weeks out. I just made sure it was a little thinner than normal. I am 6 weeks out now and no longer have to thin it out.
  17. Re: Calories and metabolism, starvation mode and the sleeve

Honestly, I have a hard time getting in 800 calories a day and sticking to the requirements my doc gave me. I am supposed to eat no more than 1/2 of food per meal and no snacking except occasionally....

  24. Re: BMI 31-49yr.old female..cosidering sleeve surgery.

The only issue I would worry about is the binge eating. That is something you definitely need to address with a counselor before having this surgery. It is a "head hunger" issue that will not go away...
