Good luck and let us know what your doctor says.
The 5 day pouch test is always suggested if you feel no restriction at all and can also help cut sweet cravings. The first two days are liquids (shakes, soups, etc) and then you start adding back In...
I've had the same difficulty since my 9 month check up. Been losing the same 5-6 pounds for months now. Had hoped to reach 100 pounds lost at my 1 year appt but doesn't look like I'll make that.
...
Thank you all so much!!!! I have an appointment already on the calendar in September with my GYN, so I'll discuss it with him further then.
So I know that a lot of us have experienced changes with our cycles post surgery. Mine has been all over the place, late some months, right on schedule other months, heavier bleeding, more cramps,...
I feel like I'm a slow loser....I'll be 6 months postop on the 6th and I'm just down about 75 pounds. I keep reading and hearing about people losing 100 pounds at this point. But I'm dealing with it...
Congratulations....job well done! Keep up the great work.
Any secrets you can share? I'm almost 5 months out but feel like I've hit a stall. I know I need to get back to hitting the gym hard...
Right after my surgery my period was fairly normal and then twomonths ago I had the worst premenstrual everything (cramps, bloating, sore breasts, etc) and my period came two weeks late. This month,...
So I'm just a little over 4 months postop and I'm down just about 65 pounds. I still have a ways to go but I've been exercising like crazy, cardio and strength training with a trainer and I feel like...
Thanks Everyone!!! If I had to guess, it probably has been because I've been falling asleep too soon after eating. I tend to eat late because of my work schedule. I'll have to work on that.
The weird thing is that I'm now 4 months postop and it only started happening recently. Up until now I've had very few issues.
A few times now in the last week or so, I'll be laying down or sleeping and all of a sudden I'll feel like my food is coming back up and I immediately sit up. What could this be attributed to?
Yeah, I'm inclined not to resume taking it since the acid has been practically non-existent, I just really want the hungry feeling to go away. I'll try your suggestions and see what happens. Thanks!
So on my 3 month checkup a few weeks ago, the nurse practitioner suggested I start to wean myself off of omeprazole if I wasn't experiencing any reflux, which I've done. I hardly ever take them...
Crystal light (lemonade, pink lemonade and fruit punch are my favorite flavors), Diet Snapple, skim milk, Low Calorie G2 Lemon Lime flavor and occasional hot tea or sugar free hot chocolate.
I'm just a little over 3 months postop and I haven't been cleared for rice and pasta yet. But I honestly haven't even missed them in these months since I last had them. I do have an occasional...
P.S. Make sure you also focus on the liquids because you want to stay as hydrated as possible. So sip, sip, sip.
Good luck!
Hi Roberta,
You're doing just fine. You won't really fel much restriction until you're on my solid type food. The initial restriction you felt postop is because of the surgery and the fact that...
Well mine came like clockwork for the first two months postop, but I did notice more cramps on the onset. Plus I had debiliating cramps mid-month in March that after testing has only been attributed...
I did 30 minutes on the treadmill this morning and this evening I'll be doing the elliptical and then working out with my trainer. I think we're doing legs today.
I love this idea of sharing food ideas with others and I also use myfitnesspal. Would it be ok if I add you?
Sorry that you're feeling this way and not quite sure what your expectations were going into the surgery but you did just go through a major procedure and your body is in the healing phase and trying...
What I have found works for me is to change stuff up. Have you tried increasing your protein, increasing your workouts or even increasing your calories??? I think we have to keep our bodies...
I must admit that I do enjoy going to the gym now, much more than before surgery. Like other people mentioned, I feel kind of bad if I don't go one morning and I'll push myself to make up that time....
Congratulations! What a great story to share, especially for the newly sleeved. Hopewhat fully it will help keep the frustration to a minimum.
I would love to aslo hear about your exercise...
