    Re: drinking alcohol?

My Dr said I was fine to have a glass of wine at 8 weeks. Since then, I have had no trouble with any drink, fizzy or not. In fact, I just had a really nice Pinot Noir... yummy! Just don't...

Re: B12 shot or nasal spray

I also took B-12 sublingual. No problems, inexpensive and easy to find at the pharmacy.

Re: After the sleeve - caffiene, alcohol etc

No problems with coffee, wine or any other drink. My lifestyle is completely normal in every way. I just don't eat as much and weigh much less.

This surgery is the best thing I have ever done...
  5. Re: Everyone's different... or is it something else?

I would think it's more likely people are more different than the surgical procedures. The difference in the actual surgical procedure is likely very narrow and based on the specific physiology of...

Re: eating and drinking at the same time?

Recognizing folks are different, I have not had trouble eating/drinking during meals. Now, I never drank a lot during meals before, either. But, it's not a problem for me to have water (or wine)...

    Re: guilty pleasures

Yes, I can eat sweets. I never did eat many sweets, but when I've had them after surgery, there are no problems.

    Re: guilty pleasures

Ummmm... nothing! If I really want to eat something, I do. I'm just so much smarter about it now and I have a tool that helps me make better choices. It's a wonderful thing...

Re: What will I never be able to eat again?

I've been able to eat/drink anything I want. Soda? No problem, just don't drink it fast. Beer? Same. Popcorn? Apples? Nuts? Salads? Steaks? No problem... and NEVER any heartburn.

    So for me,...

    Re: Popcorn ;0)

Popcorn is no problem. I had it 3 months after surgery. I've had no issues with anything I've wanted to eat. Popcorn, nuts, apples, etc.

Re: Hello, new to forum. 12 weeks post op sleeve

You should perhaps talk to your doctor. My head tells me I'm hungry much more than my stomach does, and I've learned to tell the difference. I eat a little for breakfast, a salad (or grilled...

Re: Drinking Alcohol...Hard Liquor and/or Beer??

I've found I can drink anything I want - wine, beer, mixed drinks, straight up. I take a little more time with highly carbonated drinks, like ultra light beers out of the bottle, but other than...

Re: Is WLS really worth it ??

I paid for mine because I didn't want to go thru the long waiting period. In hindsight, I would pay double. Completely worth it.

Re: i want a diet coke!

Just because you want one so bad may be the reason you should stay away! :)

I am 4 months past my surgery. I have a soda when I want one. My advise would be to either choose one from a...

Re: Can you regain weight with the sleeve

This operation is only a tool to assist you in managing your weight. There's nothing magical about it. You can absolutely regain the weight if you allow yourself. It's a matter of choice and...

Re: Eating to live, not living to eat!

I still enjoy eating and I'm glad I do! I just eat way less and continue to lose weight. I'm glad this surgery didn't take away my enjoyment of good food. It's the best thing I have ever done for...

    Re: Plateaus? Overcoming them?

Agree with Molly's post above - you need a certain amount of calories but also ensure you're getting the right kind to get thru plateaus. For me, the plateaus usually occur because I'm eating more...

  25. Re: Eating habits and the Sleeve--the Sleeve is just a TOOL!!

I have a little different point of view. It's not just what you eat - it's the quantity and the amount of exercise that is included. I don't see "thin" people only eating "heathy" foods - I see...
