I don't mind sharing my key lessons learned.
1. It's a lifestyle change, not a diet. I haven't felt like I was "dieting" post op. I eat what I eat, and thats it. My diet is not any different than...
If you are looking for the surgery with the fewest long-term complications, I would recommend the sleeve. Don't take anyone's opinion though. Fully research your choices and make an informed decision.
1)How many of you still have considerable amount of hunger..and the hunger never changed post op.
I haven't felt hungry since I had surgery.
2) How many of you are cold all the time? If you...
I had surgery 1 year ago today. The biggest difference for me is in how I feel. I could speak of losing 18 inches from my waist, or the 170 lbs I've lost, or the fact that I'm on no more medications....
Have you tried fasting for a few days and then restarting the diet like you had just had surgery?
It took about a month I think for me. As soon as I was eating solids I was good to go...
Too much too fast? No such thing... lol
Measuring food is not the reason why I had the surgery. My reason was to get healthy. I don't want to constantly think about nutrition facts and whatnot. I eat what I feel like, but I eat only when...
Monthly weight loss goals are simply trying to set yourself up for failure... I look more at how I feel, how much total I've lost, how much more I want to lose and then also at the inches that I've...
I sometimes wonder why all the different recommendations that people receive from their doctors/nuts.
My surgeon simply told me, eat only when hungry, and then eat slowly with the drink rules....
Crystal Light Drops...
Water never tasted so good...
Be careful with the quantity of nuts as well.
When I last spoke with my surgeon we discussed this issue. From what he said, you would have to be full to the point of pain every time that you ate if you were able to stretch your stomach. The part...
I can only answer for myself. I had surgery on 7/31/2013. The morning of surgery I had been fasting from the night before. This is the last time I have felt hungry.
THE SLEEVE is AWESOME!!
I had a lipoma removed from my left thigh while I was in the US Navy. It was 6 lbs and the size of a football. My wife joked that it came out with hair and teeth... Haven't seen any yet now that a...
So strange to hear how different people's instructions are. My Surgeon told me, that he didn't care what I ate, as long as I only ate when hungry... My NUT told me just to eat a balanced meal. I...
The thing that I hear is that you are overly concerned with your weight...I've had a stall that lasted 2 months. The thing was that during the stall I had lost inches. The other thing to look at is...
Crystal Light drops for your water make it so much easier to consume... :)
I wouldn't be concerned with how much you've lost, compared to others... The thing is that everyone is different. The key is that you are losing lbs. and inches. As long as you follow your Dr. and...
I've had a 1 egg omelette every day since getting back on regular food.
Why did you have surgery?
Stalls are common. Take them in stride. Keep doing what your doc instructed you to do and you will be fine. Usually when we stall, we are losing inches...
I've lost a bunch... :)
I never feel hungry and lose in spurts... All part of the process...
I think for everyone this is different. Personally I have to eat with some heart medicine that I take twice a day, if it wasn't for that I'd probably be skipping meals more... I don't feel hungry, at...
