    Re: Stretching your pouch?

This is somewhat of a debate. Some surgeons say you can stretch it, others say no. From the research I have done, I believe you cannot stretch it. The part of the stomach that is removed is called...

I will add this. Yes, Dr. Almanza has performed many successful surgeries. Unfortunately, there is a risk with any surgeon. I'm happy for those of you who had great experiences.

    Now, I think...

Re: Need more info about hcg diet plan.

I am not an expert but this is my experience: At one time my PCP suggested the HCG diet. (I no longer go to that PCP, and in fact, he was only my PCP for that one visit, then I decided he was...
  18. Re: day one post-op. I am having what seems to be regular esophagus/stomach sleeve spasms.

If it gets worse when lying down, I think it is acid squeezing up. Tell your doc and get some acid controller meds down. I had a few days where I could "feel" my tummy spasming but it wasn't that...

    Re: Ripped an Internal Stitch

Also, the hunger is very likely the acid. I had to change to Pepcid, twice a day. Make sure your surgeon knows about this. The acid can make you feel like you are starving.

Re: I hate PROTEIN SHAKES!! My Tummy Hurts! Help!

What one's have you tried? I like the Premiere Protein which can be bought at Sam's Club. It has 30 grams of protein. Also, the Unjury (order online) chicken broth is pretty good, and the warmth...

Re: Ideas for coping with liquid diet

I hated that stage. I'm not too far out but I was surprised at the hunger I was feeling which I concluded was more acid than hunger. Make sure you take your acid reflux meds until you are healed. ...
