I find that most things seem to clog up and I can only eat time amounts - hence the huge weight loss! I have to say that it's not been an easy journey for me, and there are times when I wish I...
Hi and thanks for your message.
I'm still feeling sick a lot of the time, but not actually being sick so much. Actually, I'm not really ever very hungry, which is part of the problem, because I...
Thank you, both.
Yes, Trusty, I am sticking to soft foods, and the only thing that doesn't usually come up is protein milk shake. I had a gastric swallow exam last week, which showed no blockage...
I was sleeved 6 weeks ago, and it has been a difficult journey. I am hardly eating and, whatever I eat, I vomit up. Has anyone had this problem?
I'm seeing the surgeon again on Wednesday, but...
Thanks, Julie. It's been a struggle, I must admit, but we just keep moving on.

My surgeon has sensibly said that nutritional advice comes from my dietitian, and they both say not to be too neurotic about protein intake in the early stages. Don't forget that everyone is...
Well - I had the gastric swallow test and an x-ray and am waiting for the results. However, things seem to be settling down a bit, although I still have very little appetite. I'm existing on...
Thank you both of you and, Shirly, your prayers are very welcome.
I'm back to onederland, but have to say that it has been a tough journey. I'm still not eating and can just about swallow. I've got to have a gastric swallow test today, so see what is going on -...
Amazing and what a great role model for all of us. Enjoy the rest of your life.
Welcome, and remember that every question you have is important, so ask away, and good luck on your journey.
Thank you everyone for your really helpful replies, and amber bless you, you didn't upset me. Sorry not to have responded sooner but, to make things a little more challenging, I've now got a throat...
I haven't had anything with sugar in it, and I'm certainly not eating too much - quite the reverse. I'm struggling to eat 600 calories a day, and my protein level is pathetic. I suppose the only...
Hi
I was sleeved just over three weeks ago, and am now on soft food. However, I have no appetite and really don't fancy anything. I've also got this funny feeling like a cross between...
Hi
I agree with julieperuch - this was the best decision for me. I had jitters the night before, but never a thought of cancelling. Just relax and put youself in the hands of your surgeon.
...
Hi
I had my surgery three weeks ago. Yes, there may be pain and gas after the operation, but it only lasts a few days. Everybody's pain threshold is different. Remember to focus on the...
I had brain surgery a few years ago, and that was painful, I can tell you! This is nothing like either that or a colon resection. Yes, it is painful but only for fe days, and if you get mobile...
Hi
We're all different, and just because your wife had an awful time (and I'm sorry that she did), doesn't mean she will. In fact, you have different surgeons so the risk is distinctly reduced. ...
Good luck - nail biting after the op will be a bit painful - all those hard bits! However, you've made a great decision, and your journey is just beginning.
Good luck.
Hi
It's not about age, it's about health. I'm 62 and was sleeved 21 days ago. I was also diabetic, my BMI was 41.2, and my cholesterol readings were starting to look distinctly dodgy! The op...
Hi. I'm so glad you are doing well but, don't overdo it. Remember, you've had surgery.
Drink slowly while you are on the liquids and when you get to soft food, eat slowly because otherwise you...
Hi to all of you. You're all thousands of miles away across the Atlantic, but this forum brings us all together. I'm 19 days post and doing well, apart from a little gas every now and then. ...
Welcome to you. This forum is great - use it as often as you need and then some.
Good luck with your surgery.
We all heal in different ways - I was still sore after 2 weeks. Try smoothing arnica cream on your tummy and over the wound sites - that will help.
Wow - what an amazing post. More newbies should read this. As far as support is concerned, just post, post, post.
Take care and enjoy the rest of your amazing journey.
